Brazilian Industry brings Plastic Packaging Products to Interpack 2014

Brazilian manufacturers will feature the best in plastic packaging from Brazil at Interpack Processes and Packaging Leading Trade Fair, held from May 08th to 14th at the Dusseldorf Messe, Dusseldorf, Germany.

Due to the multiple business relations between Germany and Brazil and the recent growth of the industry, Brazil maintains a high interest in the European market and arrives at Interpack with 10 manufacturers that will be presenting their product range of: stretch and shrink films, healthcare packaging, PP films on rolls, induction seals, laminated PP bags, food containers, industrial packaging, injected molded products, masterbatches with concentrates of white and black pigment, compounds and colors for application in thermoplastic resins.

“Interpack Processes and Packaging Leading Trade Fair is very important to our members with focus in Europe, Africa, as well North, Central and Latin America”, said Marco Wydra, the Think Plastic Brazil Executive Manager. At the 2011 edition of this trade fair, 15 Brazilian companies participated in the program’s stand and made 561 contacts with international buyers. The volume of business resulting from the show reached US$ 45 thousand in contracts, plus another US$ 9,120 million in deals expected to close in the following 12 months.

BANDEIRANTE/PANOCAP: Bandeirante manufactures PET jars in a large variety of sizes and styles. It also offers a line of PET and PVC industrial containers. Panocap is a manufacturer of metal lug caps, SR (non-threaded) caps, and CT (continuous thread) caps. Pano Cap Europe GmbH and Pano Cap de Brazil LTDA. offer a variety of injection molded closures for the European and South American markets.

CROMEX: Industry leader in the Brazilian market for masterbatches with more than 30 years of experience. Certified with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, the company has to its disposal specialized laboratories and the latest technology for the research and development of new products with specifications for the international market.

EMBAQUIM: Pioneers in Brazil in the manufacture of bag-in-box packaging, the creativity, experience and innovation stems from the principles of sustainable development. Currently the company manufactures bags from 800ml to 1,000lts. Its product portfolio includes coils and bags with varying stages of production and has to its disposal automated equipment with 100% virgin and nontoxic raw materials.

Our range of products gives us the ability to attend the most varied application of the global market segments like food, pharmaceutical, agricultural chemical, beverage, cosmetics, cleaning and automotive. PACKSEVEN: Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil's industrial heartland, Altafilm is a leader in the production of stretch film, shrink film and pre-stretched films. It has been successful in the export market due to its high level control, efficient production and the scale of its facilities. Altafilm's shrink films are recommended for the food industry and any application that requires dependable shrinkage and high level 8 color graphics.

SPILTAG: Being in the packaging market since 1996, SPILTAG started its activities manufacturing PET bottles for beverages and food. Some years later, envisioning a promising unexplored and very demanding segment, began to target their expertise to the cosmetic packaging. SPILTAG has an industrial park in an area of 16,600 m2 with the most modern Japanese equipment which are able to produce 24 hours a day, up to 100 million bottles per year in various specifications.

TERPHANE: With approximately 300 employees, TERPHANE manufactures polyester films of up to 50 microns of thickness used in flexible packaging and industrial applications. The company maintains a long standing relationship with distinguished clients in Europe, Latin America and North America. With manufacturing plants strategically located at the east coast of the United States and Brazil, TERPHANE distributes its quality products to clients in all five continents.

UNISOLD: More than 30 years of tradition and technology makes the brand Unisold a Brazilian reference in Plastic Bags Rolls. High strength, film uniformity, green PP and precision in withdrawal are just a few characteristics of Unisold plastic bag rolls.

VALFILM: This Company has been producing stretch film and shrink films for over two decades as well as pre-stretched film and form-fill-seal bags. Most materials are coextruded and involve 6 color print combinations. The company is exhibiting at Pack Expo for the third time and is seeking new customers in the US market.

ZARAPLAST: It has nine manufacturing plants employing over 2,000 qualified professionals, manufacturing plastic packaging products distributed in Brazil and abroad. Zaraplast’s packaging products are present in the food and beverage industries, hygiene, cleaning, chemicals, petrochemicals, fertilizers, among others.

About Think Plastic Brazil Program

The Think Plastic Brazil Program was created in December 2003 (formerly known as the Export Plastic Program), when the Brazilian integrated plastic chain, ranked among the 10 largest in the world and renowned for its advanced skilled workforce, in partnership with the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade through Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), took the decision to promote the exports of converted plastic products under the coordination of the Brazilian Plastic Institute (INP).
Think Plastic Brazil has more than 70 member companies, 40 of them specialized in packaging products. These companies export to more than 30 countries in Europe, North and South America and Africa.

The main goal of Think Plastic Brazil is to increase the exports of finished plastic products by encouraging Brazilian converters to venture into exports, to help them develop and expand their overseas business and to establish a substantial international operation.
