In conjunction with the tradeshow, GEPPIA is also launching an online content platform that aims at providing state-of-the-art information on the process and packaging industry:

Reinforced hygiene and safety for the consumers benefit

To ensure consumer safety from plant to plate, equipment manufacturers are inventing new solutions for packaging decontamination, aseptic filling and packaging control.

Highlighted innovations:

Claranor (Hall 13 - A37): pulsed light decontamination technology now extends to powdered milk, sweetened condensed milk and spreads.
Hydrolock (Hall 6 - C09/5): fully automatic sterilization process for pouches, including a newly designed holding system and automatic loading/offloading of the pouches from production line.
Thimonnier (Hall 6 - C15/2): aseptic filling lines for milk in stand-up or pillow pouches.
Luceo (Hall 5 - E26): a new generation of sensors for optical detection that highlight the entire seal cavity, with unrivalled contrast quality.
Aneolia (Hall 6 - C10/3): user friendly leak detection solutions that don’t require water presence in production.

Emerging markets and products

Equipment manufacturers stand next to their customers to help them capitalize on new market segments and adapt themselves to long-term consuming trends.

Highlighted innovations:

PKB (Hall 16 - D13): EKO NAIL VARNISH, a filling machine adapted for shot runs and varnish with glitters.
Procys (Hall 6 - C10/6): digital printing solutions that enable customization of macaroons and biscuits.
Stoppil (Hall 13 - B04): linear filling and screwing unit for e-cigarette cartridges from 10 mL to 100 mL, with a filling speed up to 6.000 bottles/hour.
Clextral (Hall 3 - F42): Sustainable solutions for producing novel protein products answering the consumer demand for tasty alternatives to meat.

Efficient and flexible systems for factory automation

Equipment manufacturers work at proposing intelligent and networked production systems that combine efficiency, rapidity and flexibility with reduced footprint and consumption.

Newtec Bag Palletizing (Hall 12 - D08) will thus demonstrate under the motto «Time to chain» how their solutions can be linked with those of Ibau Hamburg, Behn + Bates and Feige Filling, all technology brands from Haver & Boecker to form complete systems.
For its part, Eurocri (Hall 8b - G40) will present its complete automated solutions for handling products all along the packaging line.

Highlighted innovations:

Arcil (Hall 6 - E73): FFS lines increase production capacity for Müller’s yoghurts in Israël
SG2C (Hall 1 - F18): depositing and volumetric injection filling station for cream, jam, chocolate and any food filling, based on a modular and flexible design that allows quick changeovers and easy upgrades of the equipment.
Karlville (Hall 14 - D30): perfect userfriendliness of the Sleevepro range with saved recipes on touch screen for fast format changeovers and IP connectivity for easy integration and remote maintenance.
Farbal (Hall 5 - BA37): wrapping machines for large products with automatic changes of film top loading case packer, more economic in terms of space, energy consumption and maintenance.
Tecnimodern (Hall 6 - C09/1): new compact bagging machine dedicated to food industry, focused on performance and ergonomics.
Thimon (Hall 12 - E36): Wra-pal Swing, the economical spiral wrapping solution with 30% of film savings per pallet.

Taking full advantage of the synergies that characterise its member companies, GEPPIA’s mission is to support and promote manufacturers while highlighting their expertise. After seven years of existence, GEPPIA has already assembled close to a hundred members and partners. It gathers just about all equipment manufacturers specialized in the design and manufacture of packing machines and automated packaging lines, as well as part of the manufacturers making process machines and materials.
