Alufoil Trophy and interpack 2008
14/06/2007
Winners of the Alufoil Trophy will take centre stage at interpack 2008, where they will be showcased on the EAFA booth. Organised by the European Aluminium Foil Association (EAFA) the Alufoil Tro-phy awards are open to packaging designers, brand owners and retailers, as well as foil rollers, foil converters and foil container manufacturers. The closing date for entries is 30th November 2007.
Stefan Glimm, Executive Director, EAFA said, “Each year the alufoil packaging industry and the Alu-foil Trophy winners provide great examples of how the unique characteristics of aluminium foil deliver pack differentiation and innovation to the modern packaging market. “For 2008 interpack will provide an even greater opportunity for the Alufoil Trophy winners and the alufoil sector to be viewed by an even larger global audience of potential users.”
Entries should demonstrate European aluminium foil packaging solutions that provide excellence
in innovation, convenience and environmental responsibility. Any product using alufoil in food and drink (including pet food), pharmaceuticals, personal care and cosmetics, industrial, and sports and recreational markets can be submitted without an entry fee for consideration as long as it was intro-duced to the market after 1st January 2006 and has not been previously entered. The judging panel will be drawn from the brand, converter and supplier communities and will assess packs for innova-tive content, product protection, end-user benefits, and quality of graphic design, print and finish, as well as environmental responsibility.
The closing date for entries is November 30, 2007.
The European Aluminium Foil Association is the international body representing companies
engaged in the rolling and rewinding of alufoil and in the manufacture of alufoil containers and of
all kind of flexible packaging. Its more than 120 members include companies in Western, Central
and Eastern Europe.
