Take part in the 12th international competition to win the Pro Carton / ECMA Carton Award
Packaging promotes brands. Packaging helps to publicise and sell products and brands. The 12th international competition to win the Pro Carton / ECMA Carton Award is being held this year to pay tribute to outstanding examples of fascinating retail packaging made from board. The entry documents are available from www.procarton.de/awards_2008.php with immediate effect. Entries are possible in the eight different categories: beverages, confectionery, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, tobacco, shelf-ready and display packaging, food and non-food. The jury is also presenting three special prizes for the folding carton of the year, the most innovative design and sustainability. The deadline for submitting entries is 13. June 2008.
Folding carton manufacturers and board producers, branded goods suppliers, packaging and graphic designers – in a nutshell: all the companies that develop and sell packaging – are invited to participate in the competition. It is, however, important that the folding cartons entered were developed and produced for the market in 2006, 2007 or 2008. Designs developed specially for the competition cannot be accepted.
The winners will be announced in September this year at the Pro Carton Annual General Meeting in Marseille / France. As in the previous years, it will be demonstrated here too how innovations, product- and consumer-friendly design, technical skills and exceptional creativity can be found throughout the packaging industry. The winners are guaranteed major national and international media coverage.
The competition, which has been organised by Pro Carton – the international association of board and folding carton manufacturers – in co-operation with ECMA – the central association of the European folding carton industry – since 1997, is becoming increasingly popular. More and more creative companies are trying to win the prestigious awards, because they document creativity as well as product- and consumer-oriented design. Achievements that are possible when all the companies involved in developing packaging co-operate closely.
