Senior-friendly packaging is presented in the INNOVATIONPARC PACKAGING in hall 7a. The demographic change lets package developers focus on elderly people. Small labelling or packages difficult to open are a nuisance for the elderly that could easily be avoided. The special topic INNOVATIONPARC PACKAGING addresses this aspect among many others.

The special show INNOVATIONPARC PACKAGING addresses the aspect of elderly people having to handle goods that do not consider their age related problems. The Institute Meyer Hentschel changed this with the Age Explorer. This is specially modified clothing that lets people wearing it experience the difficulties elderly have with their sight and when moving around, hence with packaging. That way important knowledge can be gained by those developing packaging.
