Strong demand for solid board cartons

Production of solid board cartons increased by 3.5% to about 560 000 tonnes in 2007, as the German solid board carton association (VVK) reports. The industry had generated total sales of about EUR 551.5 million last year. About 80% of these packs were used in the food industry.
