Field invests in Delmenhorst

Field Packaging Bremen, manufacturer of 1.3 billion cigarette packs and blanks by the offset printing process per year, will be moving its location when it adds gravure printing to its production portfolio. The group is investing about EUR 22 million in the new production and administration building and a Bobst Lemanic 820 gravure printing machine in Delmenhorst / Germany. Three-shift gravure printing production is to start at the beginning of the second quarter of 2003. The production capacity will amount to about 2 billion packs. Field Packaging's aim in taking these measures is to adapt to the changes in the requirements of customers on the European continent.
