Current Packaging Experts Directory online!

The third, completely revised edition of the Packaging Experts Directory has just been published. The already highly valued reference work for the international packaging industry offers a comprehensive overview of packaging and process trends for various target groups—food and beverages, confectionary and baked goods, pharmaceutical and cosmetics, and non-food consumer and industrial goods—along with contact data for manufacturers. Rounding out this compendium from interpack are expert articles on current topics from the world of packaging.

interpack reflects the world market every three years in Düsseldorf. But also in the years between trade fairs, information must be gathered, contacts made and investments prepared or undertaken. To this end, the Packaging Experts Directory represents a practical orientation aid, hoping to lead searchers to the most appropriate packaging solution. The current edition of the Packaging Experts Directory will accompany the international preparations for interpack 2011, and can be obtained from Messe Düsseldorf GmbH. All of the included information is now also available here at the interpack portal.

The supplementary expert articles deal with topics such as "The Packaging Industry on its Path to the Future", for there is much to do in the time until the next interpack in 2011: There are three primary tasks, as was made clear during interpack 2008: The continuing, relentless fight against product and brand piracy, the further development of "smart" packaging, and the application of nanotechnology. Other articles deal with the innovation opportunities in the area of healthy sweets, innovative packaging solutions made of metal, and future trends in package printing.

Also in the spotlight is nature as an example of efficient packaging solutions: What role does bionics play in the modern packaging industry?
