Cavanna is an Italian industrial group specialising in flow-pack packaging systems, a wrapper applied by enveloping each and every product, or group of products, in plastic film wrap in which the edges get joined together to both protect the content and make it easy for the end-user to open.

With three operating plants (2 in Italy and 1 in Brazil), 42 agencies covering 58 countries, 1 foreign distributor and 284 collaborators, of which 65 work in the R&D department, Cavanna plans and manufactures flow-pack wrapping machinery, automated loaders, conveyor systems, air insertion systems and secondary packaging solutions such as multi-pack boxes to contain differing numbers of single-dose items. The sectors that make ample use of flow-pack wrapping are the food industry (industrial pastries – both single and assorted – biscuits, breakfast items, sweet and savoury snacks, bread substitutes, coffee pods for automatic and semi-automatic machines, and portioned cheese), the non-food industry, pharmaceutical companies and medical-surgical tool suppliers.
