ALTECH first labelling machine came into
production in September 1991, thanks to the commitment of a handful of people sharing the intention of designing innovative labellers. ALTECH was the result: Advanced Labelling Technologies the mission.

Nowadays the company is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of pressure sensitive label applicators; over the last 17 years, it has designed and refined a wide range of automatic labellers for all types of products, including pressure sensitive labelling systems for decorating, coding and identifying products and materials in general.

On its 3,500 sqm premises in the outskirts of Milan, the company yearly manufactures a thousand systems, which are then marketed by its 85 distributors in 50 countries, from New Zealand to Argentina, from Iceland to South Africa. This means that 70% of ALTECH turnover comes from foreign sales.
very single ALTECH system is based on best-quality solutions, since ALTECH only uses quality materials, such as high resistance alloys, stainless steel parts and extremely reliable components. All labelling machines are modular and expandable: their elements can be quickly accessed and easily disassembled; every detail is designed, checked and codified; each machine is delivered with the relevant diagrams and parts list.

The suppliers are selected according to strict standards, thus guaranteeing excellent reliability and full availability of their products throughout the world. The electronic components are designed to make all ALTECH systems user-friendly under any working conditions.

ALTECH boasts a wide range of systems for product labelling, identification and traceability: from the simple ALstep and the more sophisticated ALritma heads (which easily integrate into existing lines), through the complete in-line ALline labelling systems (for vials, bottles, jerry cans and jars), the ALcode range of print/apply machines, up to ALsleeve an applicator of heat-shrink plastic sleeves.

ALstep is a compact low-cost label applicator, while ALritma is a labelling head of high and very high-performance and accuracy, equipped with a touch screen control panel. The AlritmaXtra version is stronger and harder in the structure than the starting model; and it is also equipped with a 350 mm diameter unwind unit and an oversized and motorised rewinder unit for the silicon paper, to get more working autonomy: crucial characteristic, this, above all when at 60 m/min (80 options) linear speeds and 800 pieces/min cruising rate, the unwind exhaustion happens quickly.

ALline labelling systems, which now features a new modular design integrating ALritma heads, is on display in its most complex configuration ALlineE/C for cylindrical, flat and oval bottles. The ALline, thanks to its engaging design, qualifies the whole packaging line in which it is inserted: integral protections, silent activity, easy format change over controlled by microprocessor, are the relevant elements of this new unit.

In the specific sector of print/apply units ALTECH propose the family of the long-established ALcode and ALritmaT ranges; a pallet labeller, ALcode P, able to apply A5 labels onto two adjacent faces of a pallet, at over 120 pallets/hour; the ALcode LT, a real-time print/apply unit fitted with the new SATO LT 408 economical printing unit, which makes it ideal for the applications where compactness and low costs are primary needs.

Finally ALsleeve is an original applicator of heat-shrink plastic sleeves, that is of plastic sleeves which, if "slipped" on the product and then heat-shrinked, allow them to be sealed, to provide true tamper evident protection of caps and closure for food, cosmetic and chemical products. ALsleeve is compact, modular, adaptable and can be easily inserted in already existing production lines.
