Our job is often making the impossible possible. Continuously streamlining and improving. Solving known and, until now, unknown packaging problems for our clients and their customers, the end users. We are currently doing this in several different areas, and we would need this entire magazine, and more besides, or to meet at Interpack to tell you the whole story, but allow us to tell you about one of our products to begin with. In the Packaging & Speciality Paper area we have developed a new product to meet the sack paper market's demands for faster filling, even stronger bags and ever increasing environmental standards. We are therefore proud to present Billerud X-Run, a unique solution based on technically advanced paper with the highest performance on the market today. Naturally it is made from 100% primary fibre, the strongest raw material available. A product that will be able to considerably streamline production for converters. And since our paper also offers tremendous printability with its unique whiteness, brand owners are given new opportunities for profiling and, in addition, far higher values in the consumer stage. Billerud X-Run is the name of the product and this is one of several innovations in the area. We have more to say. For example, we have been developing our Release Liner products for over 30 years and most recently we have built our own test lab in order to be at the very forefront of product development. We seem to have quite a lot to say, but we will finish by talking about how we have developed a product in the area of Packaging Boards that can save our customers large sums of money: each year fruit and vegetables worth approximately 100 billion euro are transported to Europe's consumers. 10% never reach the destination, often due to sub-standard transport packaging. A problem we think we've identified a large part of the answer to: Billerud Flute - stronger, lighter and cleaner packaging material that also offers the highest conceivable print quality, a must for today's brand owners who are close to consumers.
