Caotech b.v. is located in Wormerveer, the Netherlands (next to Amsterdam and close to the world leading cocoa processing factories). We like to introduce ourselves as a manufacturer of ball mills for processing cocoa, chocolate and compound. In this respect we supply worldwide turn-key projects to the cocoa, chocolate, compound, ice-cream and bakery industry. The range of machinery we are manufacturing are listed below; o Continuous beater blade mills for the pre-grinding of cocoa liquor, of high fat content seeds and nuts e.g. cocoa nibs and/or hazelnuts capacities up to 5.000 kg/hr. o Continuous ball mills for the fine grinding of cocoa liquor, capacities ranging from 400 up to 5.000 kg/hr o Continuous and batch wise ball mill systems for the fine grinding of chocolate and chocolate related products, capacities ranging from 5 up to 2.000 kg/hr o Storage tanks and mixers for cocoa liquor, chocolate and chocolate related products o Pumps for the cocoa and chocolate industry Cocoa liquor processing The equipment for cocoa processing starts with a pre-grinder, a Beater Blade Mill type N4000, a joint development between Caotech and Dr.-Ing. Bauermeister GmbH for the continuous pre-grinding of cocoa nibs. Equipped with special composed alloy-blades, the mill generates a high output - capacities up to 5,000 kg per hour - with minimal requirement for maintenance. For medium and large scale processing of cocoa masses Caotech supplies the CAO 2000 and CAO 3000 in-line (see photo). This equipment is capable of achieving capacities up to 5,000 kg/hour with a fineness of 0,3 % WSR on a 75 micron screen. All grinders are low speed type ball mills with water-cooled shaft, which is important in respect of wear and temperature of the mass. Chocolate & compound processing For the processing of chocolate and compound Caotech offers batch machines in several sizes and also continuous processing lines. The latter with capacities up to 2000 kg/hour. The company has developed special low temperature executions for its most popular batch machines, the CHOCOCON and the CAO B2000, because there is a great demand for processing diet chocolate and compound. In this case the CHOCOCON has a capacity of about 140 kg/hour, depending on the recipe and the end-fineness. The CAO B2000 in low temperature execution can reach a capacity up to 450 kg/hour. The temperature of the mass can be kept below 43°C, which is a must for many diet masses. In many cases processing diet masses with low speed ball mills has an advantage over the traditional way of using five roller refiners, especially when ingredients are used which are more or less elastic. The photo shows the company's sophisticated continuous CAO 3000 CHOC In-line installation. This latest development, as well as our well-known CAO B2000-CHOC, are fully automated processing lines for the production of chocolate and compound with capacities of 500 - 2000 kg per hour. Upon customer's requirements the line can be completed with ingredients dosing and weighing sections. Overhauling Overhauling of existing grinding equipment such as ball mills, in order to meet today's regulations and requirements in the food processing industry. We are capable to rebuilt your equipment to these standards, after analysing the type of machine. We can make you an offer which suits the above mentioned standards with a most interesting feature; increasing of quality and even double capacities. Spare parts Spare parts for grinding equipment, such as pin mills, beater blade mills and ball mills. We supply -for example- pins, beater blades, screens, grinding tanks, grinding shafts and grinding balls. These parts are often more durable and/or adjusted to today's sanitation regulations in the food industry and divers in this respect from the original parts. Most parts are kept in stock for immediate supply, other parts can normally be delivered within 1 week. Customer support Our experienced specialists develop new production methods, recipes at site and are able to train your operators during the installation and commissioning of the installation at site.
