Developing the latest sachet packaging technology since 1965 Universal Pack is a leading manufacturer of continuous and intermittent-motion vertical packaging machines, particularly for single-dose sachets, heat-sealed on four sides, shaped or “stick-pack” style and horizontal sachet machines for sachets heat-sealed on three or four sides "doy-pack" style. The company is renowned world-wide as a leader in supplying packaging solutions to the food, chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. Operating since 1965, its manufacturing programme comprise a full range of vertical, multilane sachet machines, stickpack machines, cartoning equipment as well as machines for special applications. In addition to single machines, Universal-Pack also designs and manufactures complete lines, incorporating multiple machines, from product infeed to end-of-line packaging. In over 40 years of experience Universal Pack has produced and delivered around 7000 machines, has accumulated extensive knowledge about the packaging industry and its rigorous demands, has worked with thousands of different products and films, has discovered and developed methods for working with difficult products and package them successfully, reliably, and at high speeds. Machines are built to customers’ individual specification and requirements and to suit the particular product characteristics. The company has vast experience in the handling of a huge variety of products, combined with extensive knowledge and understanding of all types of packaging materials. Located near to Cattolica on the Adriatic coast, the company employs approx. 120 staff, the majority working in the assembly and manufacturing departments. Universal-Pack has invested heavily in its own fully equipped machine shop and uses latest technology machine tools for the in-house manufacture of all critical high precision components and many other parts. The company is also proud to be ISO 9001-2000 certified. AUTOMATIC SACHET MACHINE "BETA" RANGE, OPERATED BY INTERMITTENT MOTION New and advanced technologies characterize the "Beta" sachet machines in terms of quality, easy size change and simple, easy access cleaning. Together, these features make the machines particularly suitable for the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and also food sectors. High quality and aesthetically first class sachets are produced as the seals are made during the stationary phase. The machines are suitable for packing: detergent/disinfectant/perfumed wet wipes; liquids and/or pastes; granules and/or powders. The machines are manufactured in two versions: "Q" for rectangular sachets, sealed on four sides "S" for shaped sachets, in various forms (on "Beta180" and "Beta300" models) Main technical characteristics and available accessories:: • Dosers for: powders/granules/pastes/liquids • Wet wipe forming, folding and insertion group, using paper or woven-non-woven reel with injection of liquid • Machine frame made completely of aluminum and stainless steel ("Beta300" and "Beta360" models) • Possibility to memorize up to 30 working programs • Coding systems for required data on sachets: Embossed or Ink jet with various data programmable by touch screen • Laminate unwinding activated by synchronized servomotors (Brushless), constant film tension and automatic reel alignment • Shredding device for waste material (on "S" version) • Orderly collation of the filled sachets in the required pre-programmed number • On-line check-weighing of the sachets, with automatic reject of sachets outside tolerance and auto-regulation of the doser (trend control feed-back) • Conformity with the GMP criteria (ease of cleaning), and with CE/FDA regulations • Monitoring via modem for tele-assistance • Synchronised brushless servo-motors activate the movements, by adjustment and memory via touch screen of all the machine functions (sachet size, dose, speed, temperature, etc.)

AUTOMATIC MULTI-LANE "STICK-PACK" MACHINES for single portions in doses from 1 to 120 cm3 The ALFA Series servo stick-pack machine delivers output at speeds up to 100 cycles/min, with up to 20 lanes per cycle with maximum film width 1200 mm. The machine is designed for wet and dry products, such as condiments, sugar, sweeteners, drink mixes and pharmaceutical products, and its features include easy-opening sticks, ink-jet coding, gas flush, automatic stick-pack cartoning. DELTA 120 - CARTONG FORMING USING PRE-GLUED FOLDED CARTONS

Delta 120 intermittent motion horizontal cartoner Designed and built according to cGMP criteria is suitable for automatic cartoning of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products. All main machine movements are activated by servomotors (Brushless). Delta 120 incorporates the balcony (cantilever) frame construction allowing easy access for cleaning, maintenance, inspection and size changeover operations. The balcony design assures complete separation between motion and product handling, also prevents carton dust and debris from falling into main drive components.
