Bossar S.L. was founded in October 1992 is a privately owned company and one of the world leading manufacturers of horizontal pouch machines.
Located in the surroundings of the industrial area of Barcelona the Bossar plant (4.500 m2) employs directly 110 people excluding the subsidiaries in The United States, Chile, Beijing and Singapore were a number of approximate 20 people who are also employed to develop their own local sales and technical service activity in the country.
From the beginning Bossar developed its own technology based in the concept of design-
simplicity which makes the company having the widest range in pouch machines available in the marketplace. Bossar proudly states that a true flexibility, versatility and modularity are exclusively combined in its machinery design concept which totally satisfies their targeted market demands.
Bossar technical resources are composed of a strong R&D team and a highly degree design personnel for customised machinery which is one of the key expertise of the Engineering team for standard and special developments.
The business industrial sectors in which Bossar is involved are mainly Food, Contract packing, Cosmetic, Pharmaceutical and Chemical.
More than 1500 machines delivered in 14 years in 95 countries is the proof that the Bossar technology and service is widely accepted worldwide.
Bossar participation in International exhibitions usually exceeds the 20 events a year including Interpack (Germany), Pack Expo (USA) and Salon de l'Emballage (France).

New Machinery Range
Based in a very competitive rationalization program Bossar launched at Interpack 2005 a new machinery range named BMK which stands for Bossar Modular Kit.
With only 4 (four) new machine models BMK 1400, BMK 2000, BMK 2600 and BMK 3300 and all versions Bossar will cover 75% of its total yearly production for the next 10 years assisted by a new Integrated Planning Program key of the new company organisation as from January 2006.
The BMK series have most of common parts, innovative design based on true modular components and higher performance than the previous machinery range.
After three years introducing worldwide the RETORT application for ready made pouches Bossar has recently developed its own range either for Pre-made pouch and Form, Seal and Seal machinery all based in proven technology and successful deliveries in the USA, Trinidad, Australia, Poland, Spain and France.
The retort machines feature new reliable pouch opening mechanism, independent top seal system (pressure control) and specific temperature control of the heating elements.
Targeted industries for low acid retortable products like liquid soups, cooked rice, pet food, tuna, vegetables, etc for which Bossar has developed individual machine configurations.
