TF-K

The TF-K monodose machine, is a machine designed for price sensitive applications.
While the TF-K still features the usual UNIFILL high innovative contents and reliability, a particular care has been put in the selection of the technical solutions, of the components and the materials in order to make the UNIFILL monodose technology widely accessible. 
FILM UNWINDING AND FEEDING STATION
The film is automatically unwound from a single web of plastic material that is subsequently folded into a V-shape prior to entering the thermoforming area. The film is fed and conveyed through the machine as a continuous single strip by means of pneumatic grippers. An optic device is available to register the printing on both the front and the back of the monodose. The use of single folded webs also allows the production of stand-up monodose containers. The reel holding device is positioned in straight line.

THERMOFORMING AREA
After folding, the film strip enters the thermoforming area where the moulds are located on easily accessible balcony hinged supports that make servicing and change-over operations extremely simple and quick.
The thermoforming area consists of a double preheating station, one set of heated sealing moulds and one set of water-cooled thermoforming moulds.
The machine has a moulding width (and hence an advance pitch) of 160 mm, while the moulding height can vary from a minimum of 50 mm to a maximum of 120 mm, corresponding to a total web width of 100 mm to 240 mm.

THE FILLING UNIT
Once the cavities are thermoformed, the continuous strip reaches the filling area where a dedicated filling unit provides the dosing of the product inside the cavities. Different filling units are available according to product characteristics and to specific dosing requirements.

TOP SEALING STATIONS
After filling operations, the continuous strip is conveyed through a progressive sealing system that provides an accurate sealing and cooling of the containers filling neck. In the station, a dry coding system can be provided on the top or bottom side of the monodose.

BUFFER AND FINAL CUTTING STATION
Following the top neck sealing, the strip is conveyed through a buffering unit to the final cutting die. The buffer has special shaped wheels to ensure an accurate introduction of the strip into the final cutting die: it also compensates the difference in the pace of the machine advance (step-by-step) and of the cutting die (high speed).
The final cutting station can be fit with different dies to achieve different monodose configurations such as straight vertical cutting, individual contour cutting, multi-pack connected containers.

AVAILABLE OPTIONS
The TF-K monodose machine can be fit with a number of options to include jacketed tank for hot filling operations, one-side labelling system, dry coding /embossing system, ink-jet printing system.
Hygienic filling conditions for fresh products can also be met with the dedicated "Ultra-Clean Package" to include sterile air thermoforming and laminar flowwith Hepa filter, inert gas flushing and magnetic filler.

PACKING MATERIALS
The TF-K monodose machine is a highly versatile machine suitable for a variety of different FOOD and NON-FOOD applications. For this reason, the TF-K monodose machine can use an extremely wide range of laminated and/or co-extruded packaging materials such as PS/PE, PA/PE, PET/PE, PVC/PE, PP with a thickness range between 100 and 600 microns. Special barrier materials such as EVOH or PVDC can also be used to improve barrier properties and to better preserve products characteristics.

TF-02

The TF-02 monodose machine, is a new generation fully automatic thermoform fill & seal machine suitable for high speed production of squeezable and peelable unit doses and portion packs for the food, pharma, personal care and chemical industry. The machine has electronic controls, complies with all major manufacturing standards and can be fitted with options such as stick applicator, spout & cap applicator, front & back labelling, ultra-clean package. The machine is also available in the /EP-300 version with extended pitch of 300mm.
More than 50 TF-02 units have been sold world wide since 2005.

FILM UNWINDING AND FEEDING STATION

The film is automatically unwound from a single web of plastic material that is subsequently folded into a V-shape prior to entering the thermoforming area. The film station features a double reel holding shaft and a buffer to enable the replacement of the film reel without stopping the machine.
The film is fed and conveyed through the machine as a continuous single strip by means of pneumatic grippers. The use of a continuous strip eliminates the need of side trimming, thus reducing material waste to a minimum. Furthermore, since the strip is constantly supported through all the machine stations, a thinner packaging film can be used, thus representing a further saving in material.
An electronic device is available to register the printing on both the front and the back of the monodose. The use of single folded webs also allows the production of stand-up monodose containers.

THERMOFORMING AREA
After folding, the film strip enters the thermoforming area where the moulds are located on easily accessible balcony hinged supports that make servicing and change-over operations extremely simple and quick. The thermoforming area consists of a double preheating station, one set of heated sealing moulds and one set of water-cooled thermoforming moulds. The moulds (and therefore the thermoforming area) have a length up to 260mm (300mm in the /EP-300 version) ,while their height can vary from a minimum of 50mm to a maximum of 120mm (150mm in the /EP/IH version), corresponding to a total web width of 100mm to 240mm (300mm for the /EP/IH version).

THE FILLING UNIT

Once the cavities are thermoformed, the continuous strip reaches the filling area where a dedicated filling unit provides the dosing of the product inside the cavities. A wide range of different filling units are available according to product characteristics and to specific dosing requirements. Besides standard volumetric units for both liquid and semi-dense products, magnetic and mass filler are also available to offer the best filling accuracy and highly hygienic operations. All fillers are servo-assisted to handle products with varying densities / viscosities. All filling units are made of AISI 304 and 316/L Stainless Steel.

TOP SEALING AND COOLING STATIONS
After filling operations, the continuous strip is conveyed through a progressive sealing system that provides the pre-heating, the sealing and the cooling of the containers tops. The 4-stations neck sealing area, allow a perfect sealing of the top area even in presence of product residuals.

BUFFER AND FINAL CUTTING STATION – MACHINE DRIVE
Following the top neck sealing, the strip is conveyed through a buffering unit to the final cutting die. The buffer has special shaped wheels to ensure an accurate introduction of the strip into the final cutting die: it also compensates the difference in the pace of the machine advance (step-by-step) and of the cutting die (high speed). The final cutting station can be fit with different dies to achieve different containers configurations such as straight vertical cutting, individual contour cutting, multi-pack connected monodose containers.

The main machine stations are driven by means of electronically-controlled brushless motors to ensure extremely accurate movements and high performances up to 35 cycles / minute.

AVAILABLE OPTIONS
A number of options are available to give an additional "plus" to your products, such as plastic stick applicators for lollipop-type products, cap applicators for re-closable packs (screw type, flip-top type, push-pull type, break-off type), multi-flavour / multi-products filling units.
An Ultra-Clean Package is also available to grant extremely hygienic filling conditions. It consists of: sterile air thermoforming, inert gas flushing, laminar flowwith Hepa filter, magnetic filler.
Dry-coding, ink-jet printing, labelling units, etc are also available upon request. Double reel unit for use with different front and back materials. /EP-300 and EP/IH versions are also available for increased products dimensions and output.
PACKING MATERIALS

The TF-02 monodose machine, is a highly speed machine suitable for a variety of different FOOD and NON-FOOD applications.
For this reason, the TF-02 can use an extremely wide range of laminated and/or co-extruded packaging materials such as PS/PE, PA/PE, PET/PE, PVC/PE, PP with a thickness range between 150 and 600 microns.
Special barrier materials such as EVOH or PVDC can also be used to improve barrier properties and to better preserve products characteristics.
Special retort material such as PP/PA/PP, can also be handled for post-sterilization.
