Depalletizer for jars and cans

The depalletizer is a machine that is suitable to automatically depalletize empty containers from pallets and place them on the conveyor belts of the production line. Depending on the models, the depalletizer can depalletize pallets containing glass jars or bottles of any shape except pitcher-shaped or pallets containing cylindrical tin cans. The machine is designed to process containers with Ømax=155 mm and Hmax=235 mm, palletized on pallets with max. dimensions 1420x1120 mm and Hmax=2600 mm.
The depalletizer consists of a sturdy structure made of AISI 304, which is composed of tubes and folded sheet metal, suitable to receive and support various types of equipment. The operating cycle of the depalletizer is fully automatic and is controlled by a PLC in order to guarantee high production yield, simple management and great reliability of operation over time.
The operator must only prepare the pallet that is to be depalletized by removing the outer protective plastic cover and the first interlayer and then place the previously prepared pallet by means of a pallet truck or forklift on to the loading platform of the depalletizer. When the pallet is placed on the loading platform it is lifted by means of a motor reducer with a self-braking motor activated by an inverter, until the first layer of containers is at the unloading level.
Once the first layer is unloaded, the pallet is lifted once again until the next layer of containers reaches the unloading level. This is repeated, layer by layer, for all the containers to be unloaded from the pallet. The pusher unit used to unload the containers of the layer being processed consists of a motor reducer with a self-braking motor that is activated by an inverter and is equipped with a torque limiter to prevent the containers from possible damage or breakage while being moved. Once the containers of the layer being processed are unloaded, the depalletizer uses an interlayer removal unit to eliminate the flat or cap-shaped interlayer that separates the next layer. Moreover, when the last interlayer is reached, a flashing signal lights up on the electrical panel, thereby indicating that the machine has started processing the last layer of the pallet so as to allow the operator to prepare a new full pallet to replace it when the previous one is empty.
The containers unloaded from each layer of the pallet are conveyed on a belt, which is equipped with a pneumatic alignment device and driven by two mechanical variators, where two hinge chains slide at different speeds to facilitate the alignment of the containers. The depalletizer is supplied complete with a perimeter inspection walkway with the relative ladder and front safety doors.
The electrical panel is made of AISI 304 and contains the command and control equipment as well as the PLC to control the machine operating logic.
