Airgenex® Drying Systems for Packaging

Fast and Reliable Drying with Airgenex® Drying Technology
The purpose developed Airgenex® condensation drying stands for more quality and more reliability for your product, for your process. This alternative technology is the answer to many a drying challenge. It combines seemingly conflicting features such as low temperatures and short drying times. Products made from metal, glass or plastic, metal bands, plastic foils and thin liquid films on surfaces are dried at 20 °C to 90 °C in a gentle, stain-free and uniform manner. The use of extremely dry air combined with customised forced air routeing enables very short drying times and excellent drying results to be achieved. The integrated heat pump technology provides highest efficiency of the drying process. Drying is always accomplished in a closed system and is, thus, fully independent of the climate. This ensures best quality and highest process reliability. Airgenex® condensation drying is a flexible system which may be integrated in any process. Air dehumidification using a heat pump is suitable for both batch and continuous operations:

The AIRGENEX®med version of the purpose developed Airgenex® condensation drying is capable of drying products made from metal, glass or plastics as well as primary and secondary packages at low temperatures between 20 °C and 90 °C in a gentle and stress- free manner. The use of extremely dry air combined with customised forced air routeing enables very short drying times and excellent drying results to be achieved. The integrated heat pump technology provides highest efficiency of the drying process. Drying is always accomplished in a closed system and is, thus, fully independent of the climate. Clean air environments are not affected. This ensures best quality and highest process reliability. Airgenex®med condensation drying is a flexible system which may be integrated in any process. Drying and Cooling

AIRGENEX®food is based on a purpose developed and highly efficient drying technology which, by its alternative physical approach, is capable of combining seemingly conflicting features such as low temperatures and short drying times. The use of extremely dry air at temperatures between 20 °C and 90 °C combined with customised forced air routeing enables excellent drying results to be achieved. Food and feedstuff as well as food-related primary and secondary packages are thus dried in a most gentle and reliable manner. The so-called „heat pump based condensation drying“ is the ideal answer to many a drying issue. The integrated heat pump technology provides highest efficiency of the drying process. Drying is always accomplished in a closed system and is, thus, fully independent of the climate. Production environments are not affected. Positive results in terms of bioactivity, aromas and appearance are always achieved. The condensate produced is available for further use. AIRGENEX®food condensation drying is a flexible system which may be integrated in any process. Air dehumidification using a heat pump is suitable for both batch and continuous operations. AIRGENEX®food drying systems meet hygienic design requirements.

Drying and Cooling

Airgenex® Cooling Systems

Efficient Cooling in an Air Recirculation System
Our long-standing experience in building Airgenex® condensation drying systems may well be applied for cooling purposes. This requires only minor modification. Airgenex® cooling may be used for and integrated in any drying process. For the system, it does not matter much if the products are packaged or unpackaged.

Highly efficient cooling is achieved through customised forced air routeing combined with heat pump technology. The resulting cooling times are very short. The process is always accomplished in a closed system and is, thus, fully independent of the climate. This ensures best quality and highest process reliability

We also offer to devise energy-efficient concepts for recycling waste energy from the cooling process into other processes of your company.

Realising the importance of the drying process, and setting out to improve it with a view to better quality and economy – this is what drove Roland Harter when he founded his company in 1991. Today, HARTER is a medium-sized company which has long since acquired a leading role in the drying market. It is the unique combination of high technology and application focused engineering that satisfies the most exigent demands. This is reflected in more than thousand drying systems built for application in various branches of industry. HARTER’s philosophy is to offer comprehensive service packages including consultancy, R&D, engineering and design, all provided by various departments under their roof. Manufacturing departments for refrigeration system construction, plastic system construction, metal processing, control engineering and air-conditioning provide high in-house production depth. Pilot Plant Station for Trial Testing
The in-house pilot plant station is used to test customer products for response to drying. This is both part of the services offered and a reasonable method for determining the parameters for successful drying such as temperature, humidity, drying time, air speed and airflow. The documented results, our long experience plus the customer’s know-how form the basis for further system design which will also draw on approaches for solutions in hundreds of various projects.
