Acceptance of the quality assurance and production process
The European Union published the so-called ATEX guidelines for the first time in 1994. In 2014 a new version of the directive was issued.
Directive 2014/34/EU covers equipment and protective systems used in potentially explosive atmospheres. This also applies to the sieving
machines of the BTS 100 and BTS 200 series of the Ennigerloh-based machine builder, L.B. Bohle.
“In order to provide our customers with the highest degree of safety, L.B. Bohle is obliged to undergo the certification process in order to ensure preventive protection in explosive areas,” said Thorsten Wesselmann, Technical Manager.
Together with the Head of Quality Management, Martin Schembecker, the ATEX commissioner Volker Bähr attended training sessions
to ensure that the processes could be carried out in accordance with the directive.
In February 2017, L.B. Bohle Maschinen + Verfahren GmbH received the positive news about the acceptance of the quality assurance
in the production process from the certifier.
“The certificate is valid until the end of 2019 and proves once again, that the safety and satisfaction of the customer are paramount
to L.B. Bohle”, Wesselmann continues.
