"UKRPLASTIC" company has supported Chemical Manufacturers’ “Responsible Care,” international initiative coordinated by the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA). The Union of Chemists of Ukraine coordinates the programme in Ukraine. The programme is carried out with the assistance of the UN, while multinational chemical corporations, as well as the majority of enterprises in the chemical sector, and that is around 60 countries worldwide, have already joined this voluntary international initiative.

The purpose of the program, which is called "Responsible Care of the Chemical Industry of Ukraine" in Ukraine is improvement of chemical industries activities in the areas of occupational safety, industrial safety, prevention of negative impact of production processes and products on human health and the environment, and the sound management of the natural resources as well. Aleksey Golubov, President of the Union of Chemists of Ukraine, noted that "UKRPLASTIC" company has been introducing the principles of corporate social responsibility in practice for many years, pursuing a transparent policy in the area of industrial safety, labour safety, environmental protection, and energy saving, thus meeting the requirements to a programme participant.
