To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Lufthansa presented Warsteiner beer bottles in a smart golden design with high-quality finely executed graphics. This special range, made from light aluminium, was implemented by the Irish Ardagh Group, suppliers of metal and glass packaging. The bottles were produced in a limited edition and are being given exclusively to flight passengers. The Ardagh Group and the Warsteiner Brewery had already worked together on a special edition in 2014 when they created the Warsteiner Art Collection, which subsequently received several awards for its design.
Since November 2015 Lufthansa has now been offering passengers six varieties of cocktails in specially designed bottles. The classic cocktails Manhattan, Negroni, Old Fashioned, Dry Martini and Pear Gimlet all run under the licensed brand Lufthansa Cocktails, launched by the Berlin agency Small Big Brands. Created by former bartenders Steffen Lohr and Bastian Heuser, the new Lufthansa Cocktails are contemporary reinterpretations and are marked by a subsequent ageing process within the bottle. The timelessly elegant design of the bottles was the work of the Berlin agency Studiograu. The cocktails be obtained online as well as in delis, high-quality retailers and duty-free shops.
The idea of Lufthansa Cocktails goes back to 2005 when the combination of orange-apricot liqueur and champagne was revived in the form of a cocktail shaker bottle from an even earlier period.
