Erdinger Weisse is simply part of any good Bavarian knees-up. It’s absolutely impossible to miss out on this renowned beer at the Oktoberfest. The Festweisse has been specially brewed for the Oktoberfest and will be on offer in the Erdinger private brewery’s own Fest tent. The beer, with a level of carbonation typical for this type, will not be served in its usual packaging but will instead be poured in traditional beer steins. If you want to enjoy the Oktoberfest 2019 packaging trend in your own home, you can! The bottles can also be purchased from local shops during the festival season.

German-American cooperative production
Since 2015, the American Sierra Nevada brewery has been working with German breweries to produce new special edition packaging for their annual Oktoberfest beers each year. After their partnership with Weihenstephan in 2018, the US brewery is cooperating with Bitburger this festival season. From light Fest beer and heavy malt, a limited edition has been produced for Oktoberfest 2019. This limited edition will be available from selected beverage retailers within the USA exclusively in September.

Waterloo Brewing
Oktoberfest isn’t just celebrated in Germany. The Waterloo Festbier is brewed specially for the biggest Canadian Oktoberfest, and this full-bodied lager in the traditional Märzenbier style is proffered in special Oktoberfest packaging. Every year, a new special edition of the popular Waterloo Festbier comes out in time for the season. This beer in its blue-and-white checked cans is available from regional beverage retailers in Kitchener Waterloo and in Waterloo Brewing stores until the supply runs out!
Brezelinos Packaging
It’s not all about the beer; baked snacks are also a vital part of the Oktoberfest. Nawarra Süßwaren GmbH will bring out two special editions of packaging for their pretzel sticks. There’s a Dirndl print for the ladies and a Lederhosen print for the gents. A quick glance at the special packaging is enough to give the beholder an appetite for the pretzel sticks, covered with sesame or sea salt.
