Manufacturers seeking to increase their production output will be given a boost at this year’s interpack show with the launch of Endoline’s latest machine - the servo driven 744 Fully Automatic Random Case Sealer. The system is up to 50% QUICKER than current case sealing equipment making it the fastest of its type in the market.
Achieving speeds of 30 random sized cases per minute this innovative new machine was designed and built as specifically for a global snacks manufacturer.
Suitable for contract packers, snack manufacturers and on line vendors the 744 is ideal within any line where increased production output is desired and a variety of case sizes are required to be packed and sealed. “A growing number of manufacturers, particularly within the food industry, have to pack a range of different case sizes to meet retailer demands who are broadening their consumer offering to meet a diverse taste range. From singular packs and smaller refill packs to multiboxes of crisps for bulk purchase.” Explains Alan Yates, Endoline’s Managing Director, “We have integrated a barcode reader at the collation stage of the 744 which instantly reads each box as it comes through and the sealing head adjusts itself accordingly.”
The high throughput speed is made possible by the use of high reliability servo drives. Due to its capability to handle a very high volume of random case sizes the 744 can be fed via multiple lines – a definite advantage to any manufacturer looking to consolidate case sealing from several packing lines running a variety of case sizes. The system offers an efficient alternative to purchasing several slower case sealers which will not only be less cost effective but also take up valuable factory space.
Alan comments: “We were approached by a leading global snacks manufacturer who was looking for a high speed solution to seal random size cases of crisps. Our engineers have used multiple servos to track case and head positions for exact synchronisation and to maximise throughput and reliability. As a result not only are we meeting the customer’s needs; the introduction of the Endoline 744 has boosted our portfolio of servo driven machines – giving manufactures another higher speed option.”
The type 744 follows on from the highly successful Endoline 734 Fully Automatic Random Case Sealer which is the dominant machine of its type in the market and is in service at major snack and biscuit manufacturers around the world.
