WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH launches new product line.
Gerhardshofen, 30th April 2014 – WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH located in Gerhardshofen, Franconia, launches a new product line within the SENOLITH® UV class on to the market: high reactive UV-inking system lacquers.
This product line includes UV curing matt and gloss lacquers with a high reactivity which can be applied by an inking system. Due to their high reactivity, these lacquers can be hardened with reduced lamp power as well as with H-UV, LE-UV and LEC-UV dryers.
The advantages of processing via inking system are obvious:
Spot coatings can be done by an offset plate and expensive varnish plates can be avoided. This will especially increase the economic efficiency of short runsVarnish effects are now possible on machines without coating unitsMultiple coating applications in order to achieve gloss or matt effects can also be realized economically without inking system in one run.Filigree lacquer effects (which were very difficult to produce so far) are much easier to realizeLess input of time, energy and material – higher added value
For the time being, two products will be offered in the UV HR product line:
SENOLITH® UV OFFSET GLOSS LACQUER HR 369850
This UV gloss lacquer also shows remarkable gloss results when using the inking system
SENOLITH® UV OFFSET MATT LACQUER HR 369860
This UV matt lacquer offers a great matt level, excellent rub protection and interesting haptics especially on matt papers and cardboards.
Arno Dürr, sales manager of WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH comments the new product line as follows: “Our new high reactive UV inking system lacquers are a perfect addition to our wide range of products. The costs for lacquer applications especially for short runs will be minimized as there is no need for using varnish plates. The costs for energy and material can also be reduced. Due to the use of the inking system very filigree lacquer effects and spot coatings with a very high fitting accuracy can be achieved which could not be realized with varnish plates so far.” Arno Dürr continues: “Needless to say that the regular applications of our established lacquer systems cannot be completely replaced by our new UV-HR lacquers. For technological reasons the possible order quantity used on the inking system is below the lacquer quantities that can be applied with a chamber doctor blade systems. However, we view these lacquers as a logical complement to our range of products for small and medium-sized runs which have to be produced under high economic aspects or for new, creative effects that were not possible with conventional lacquer systems before. Thanks to these new inking system lacquers, we are allowed to address print offices which have not had suitable coating facilities until now.”
Next to many other products, these two new UV HR lacquers will also be presented at the interpack 2014 in Düsseldorf from 8th May to 14th May at the joint stand of PrintCity, hall 11, booth B04.
