Experience the new compact class now with the TX 6 series Wolfertschwenden, March 20, 2023 - Compact, versatile, networked: The new MULTIVAC traysealers impress with outstanding performance while making exceptionally efficient use of the available production space. Like the high-performance TX 7 and TX 8 series, the space-saving new additions to the portfolio offer everything that customers can expect from a pioneering generation of machines. Also in terms of reliability, operability and hygiene.
In view of the current challenges and the associated cost explosions, the compact tray sealers have come just at the right time. Because: "Thanks to their small footprint, they make a targeted contribution to increasing performance in the smallest of spaces - and do so sustainably, flexibly and above all cost-effectively," emphasizes Franziska Schreiber, Product Manager at MULTIVAC. The packaging specialist is thus completing its range in the TX class, whose success story began with the fully automatic TX 710 in 2019.
Performance at the highest levelDeveloped for a wide range of applications with fast product changeovers and high cycle performance, the new models impress technically with intelligent machine and line control, the highest hygiene standards and customary reliability. Thanks to their compact design, they can also be easily integrated into a wide variety of production environments - and can also be designed as a two-track solution for even greater efficiency.
Both models are equipped with robust servo drives that ensure maximum speeds and gentle product handling over the long term. The intelligent machine control and the modern mold concept, the so-called X-tools, equally stand for a future-proof investment. This is particularly true because the TX 610, like the TX 620, is designed for use with MULTIVAC Smart Services and MULTIVAC Line Control - tools for maximum transparency and efficient line operation.
Compared to the previous TX series available on the market, the TX 6 series has been completely redeveloped with the aim of providing a compact, cost-efficient solution. "Design language, functionalities and application areas, on the other hand, are based on the big brothers, i.e. the 7 and 8 series," emphasizes Franziska Schreiber. What distinguishes the TX 610 from the TX 620 is essentially the machine length and the usable size of the mold.
Sustainability with future potentialThe compact tray sealers have been consistently trimmed for sustainability: On the one hand, their long service life is an important factor in this context, and on the other hand, depending on the application, the use of compressed air or cooling water is completely eliminated, which actively contributes to the conservation of resources.
Without restriction, the machines can process trays made of different materials, such as plastic, paper-based or fiber-based materials. The range of applications here extends from "sealing only" to MAP packaging and the production of MultiFresh packs.
Easy operation with high process reliabilityThe clear operating concept of the TX 6 series also ensures logical workflows and reduced operating errors. The intuitive HMI simplifies control because many pack and process parameters are already configured and can be called up quickly.
Last but not least, the tool-free changeover of the machines to different pack formats also contributes to maximum safety and efficiency - as does the simple, safe cleaning and maintenance, as all machine components are easily accessible.
"With the launch of the TX compact class.....we are meeting the increased demand for compact packaging solutions to increase production efficiency in the smallest of spaces. As the TX 6 series sets standards in terms of performance, reliability, flexibility and future viability in this performance class with a minimal footprint, MULTIVAC is also fully delivering on its product promise for this product family," says Schreiber.
The new TX 620 will be presented for the first time at interpack 2023... as the core element of a compact line solution on MULTIVAC's main stand A23 in Hall 5. Here, ready meals are packed under a protective atmosphere in a sustainable cardboard tray which is reliably sealed with a recyclable, thin film. The manually pre-filled trays are fed to the traysealer by a MULTIVAC conveyor belt. An L 310 labeller ensures that the MAP packs are precisely marked with a top and a bottom label. A powerful vision system - also from MULTIVAC Marking & Inspection - immediately inspects the applied labels, with faulty copies being ejected directly. The good packs reach an MPS 102 Pack Stacker, which automatically stacks the packs and thus contributes to a considerable simplification and acceleration of manual cartoning in the end-of-line area.
