Employees at Bradman Lake celebrated receiving The Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2022 at a ceremony at its Beccles headquarters last week.
In honour of Her late Majesty, Clare Fitzroy, Countess of Euston - Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk, visited the Bradman Lake headquarters to present the formal Award Citation, personally signed by Her late Majesty and then Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.
Receiving the accolade, Mr Bernard Langley, Director of Langley Holdings plc, Bradman Lake’s parent company and; Mr John Marlee, the company’s Managing Director.
The Award for International Trade is in recognition of the company's outstanding performance in global markets over the past three years.
Mr Marlee thanked those present at the ceremony saying:
“We are extremely proud to receive the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, which recognises international growth and our innovative solutions in packing technology.”
“…the award is a tribute to the expertise and hard work of the entire Bradman Lake team.”
Also present at the ceremony: Mr Mark Pendlington, DL, Chair of the Lieutenancy Business & Enterprise Group; Mr David Harrison, Chief Operating Officer of the Processing & Packaging Machinery Association (PPMA) and; Mr Leszek Wysocki, International Trade Adviser for International Trade – Southern Region.
The event concluded with a tour of the Beccles factory.
