GDM Plastics will present its latest advancements in MDO-PE (Machine Direction Oriented Polyethylene) films at INTERPACK 2026, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and sustainability in flexible packaging. During the event, the company will highlight its full portfolio of MDO-PE films, including the newly launched Green MDO-PE, developed to enable polyethylene (mono-material) structures, significantly contributing to carbon footprint reduction and improved recyclability.
This development incorporates renewable raw material based on Braskem’s I’m green™ bio-based PE technology, produced from sugarcane. This solution enables a reduction in CO₂ emissions, as carbon is captured during biomass growth, potentially resulting in a negative carbon footprint (cradle-to-gate) for the resin. In addition, the material maintains the same properties as fossil-based PE, ensuring technical performance without compromising sustainability.
