IRPLAST Joins TOPPAN, Strengthening Innovation and Sustainability in Packaging

Following the acquisition finalized in June 2025, IRPLAST is now part of the TOPPAN Holdings Inc. Group, marking an important step in the development of advanced and sustainable solutions for the global packaging industry.

The transaction involved the acquisition of 80% of IRPLAST’s share capital by TOPPAN Group, through its subsidiary TOPPAN Speciality Films, while the remaining 20% continues to be held by the company’s management.

This partnership combines IRPLAST’s expertise in the production of specialty BOPP films, roll-fed labels and adhesive tapes with TOPPAN’s global technological capabilities in high-performance packaging solutions.

As part of its industrial development plan, IRPLAST is investing in advanced manufacturing technologies, including the installation of a new Brückner LISIM simultaneous stretching line, which will enable the production of up to 30,000 tonnes per year of high-performance specialty films.

These next-generation materials are designed to support the transition toward recyclable mono-material packaging structures, helping brands comply with the evolving European regulatory framework, including the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, while also incorporating renewable and chemically recycled raw materials.

By joining forces, IRPLAST and TOPPAN aim to build a more integrated and circular packaging value chain, combining advanced material science, sustainable design and global industrial capabilities to support customers worldwide.
