MG2 celebrates 60 years of innovation in automatic machines for the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries

The company’s journey began in 1966, when Mr. Ernesto Gamberini introduced continuous-motion technology into capsule fillers, paving the way for a new generation of faster, more precise and more reliable solutions.

“This anniversary represents the continuity of our story,” says founder Mr. Ernesto Gamberini. “The desire to invent something truly innovative and to be independent has always been the driving force behind everything.”

Since then, MG2 has built its growth on continuous research and technological evolution of its capsule filling machines, supported by advanced design processes and a strong focus on superior product quality and customer needs.

“Our pride lies in knowing that our machines contribute to the production of medicines that help millions of people,” adds Mrs. Luciana Sabbatini, who has supported Mr. Gamberini since the very beginning. “And this achievement is also thanks to our employees, who have worked as if the company were their own.”

Today, MG2 includes its third generation within the company, supported by more than 170 employees, a strong international presence, and design and manufacturing carried out entirely in Italy, in Pianoro, at the heart of the Bologna Packaging Valley. 

“Every project is born from collaboration,” highlights Mrs. Manuela Gamberini, Deputy General Director. “Innovation becomes real value when it brings together skills, responsibility and the ability to respond to increasingly complex requirements.”

MG2 capsule fillers are now a combination of advanced engineering, smart automation and solutions designed to optimize performance, accuracy and sustainability, while remaining intuitive and easy to use for all operators.

“The market is becoming more and more dynamic,” concludes General Director Mr. Saverio Gamberini. “This is why we invest in proactive service, artificial intelligence and user‑friendly machines to guarantee efficiency, safety and productivity for our customers.”
