Purple - the Colour of Innovation. Möllers Group at interpack 2014

Beckum, 10 April 2014

With a strikingly different fair presence Möllers Group at interpack 2014 (8th – 14th May in Düsseldorf) is emphasising its comprehensive Full-Line capability in the sphere of conveying, filling, palletizing, packaging and loading, which it has proven countless times in practice over the past decades. The group of compa-nies will be surprising its visitors under the motto „Purple - the Colour of Innovation“ in hall 12 (stand C22) with an animated graffiti display-wall which, in plastic form, illustrates its solutions for the required process-overarching efficiency increase in the era of ‚Industry 4.0’. This over 20 metre-long and up to four metre-high display-wall combined with the large-scale advertising banner mounted on hall 12’s exterior wall convey the message visible from afar: Irrespective of whether customers cover their individual requirements with a turnkey total solution from a single source or ‚merely’ wish to upgrade individual process steps with innovative solutions to a new level - Möllers Group - as technology leader with its especially reliable, well-known plant and machinery which time andagain sets benchmarks in the market – is the right partner for you. As such, the slogan of the group of companies is ‚Leading by Technology’. „Nowadays more than ever plant and machinery have to satisfy customers’ individual requirements. For this reason we will be presenting in Düsseldorf the multitude of options from our most diverse portfolio of capabilities in a new way: with a display-wall whose various components jointly simulate a complete filling-,palletizing- and packaging line“, explains Managing Director, Volker Kugel. Apart from a few indicated, ‚real’ plant components, displays are integrated into the display-wall. Over and above this, Touch Screen-Terminals arranged in front of the graffiti-wall cover the theme of Full-Line plant process steps, just as Möllers Group realises them in practice. Videos and presentations address in detail each case’s individual requirements from various sectors – starting with the (petro-) chemicals and building materials industry through fertilizer to foodstuff industry. „In this way we can flexibly illustrate different applications“, Sales Director, Norbert Frenzel, summarises the key advantage of the graffiti display-wall. The filling of bulk materials and liquids is the core competence of Greif-Velox Maschinenfabrik GmbH, wholly-owned associate company of Maschinenfabrik Möllers, which possesses special know-how in particular for total solutions in the chemical industry – commencing with valve- and open sacks as well as big bags, through pails and canisters to drums, IBC and containers on pallets. At interpack the company will be presenting how again and again it aligns its filling machinery with new demands in the face of an enormous variety and characteristics of bulk materials and liquids while it pulls out all the innovative technology stops. In each individual case it is about finding for each specific customer the optimum combination of product, packaging material or containers as well as filling and closing technology with the downstream process stages of palletization and load security. Möllers Group has a broad spectrum of various filling machinery with different degrees of automization at its disposal covering practically all market demands. The newest feeding and weighing technology is an integral component of the plants which, in the case of liquids covers five to 2000kg, and with bulk solids covers ten to once again, 2000kg. For this, all sack-closing technologies are once again at our disposal. Möllers Group is similarly flexible in its further product areas which are equally accompanied by many patented solutions. As a result, palletizing is especially well catered for. Its palletizing machinery covers all facets of market demands which the group of companies is traditionally at home with. With throughput rates of under 100 to over 3000 packaging units per hour in the chemical industry and up to 5000 packaging units per hour in the building materials industry, managing varying filling goods’ characteristics and operating conditions, the plants form precisely shaped, stable pallet loads in an energy-saving manner and with low noise levels, coupled with high availability -– also particularly when it comes to difficult to handle products. The palletizing and packaging machinery blends seamlessly into production environments. Featured in the range highlights is among others, the Möllers counter-hood stretch system which forms palletless unit loads employing twostretch-film hoods drawn over them from opposite directions. Load security with stretch- and shrink films is the third theme with which Möllers Groupunderlines its core competence at interpack 2014. The group of companies’ experience proven over decades leaves no customer wishes left unfulfilled here either. As an example, the HSA-Vario automatic transverse stretch-hooder securely packages loads comprising paper- and film sacks, FIBCs, containers, drums, trays as well as cardboard- and carton packaging, on pallets or palletless, offering a choice of standard- or ultra-stretch film – and all this while consuming a third less film. The 2in1 series is a further example of how research and development at Möllers Group continuously optimises the processes in its core markets with innovative ideas. With this compact, versatile combination of palletizer and integrated automatic transverse stretch-hooder, greatest precision and optimum load security go hand in hand for capacities of up to 400, 800 or 1200 sacks/hr depending on the model. Reliability, efficiency, quality and sustainability – these performance features are a common thread throughout the product- and performance portfolio of Möllers Group. A further thematic focus at the interpack stand is the Möllers Customised Service. Its task is to maintain long-term - and at a high level - the performance capability in the market of plant andmachinery installed by Möllers Group – many have been in operation for several decades – and to adapt them to new market demands. In this regard, the maximization of availability of plant and machinery, full control over costs as well as increased process efficiency are the most important points. Three areas above all take centre stage for After-Sales Services: Field Service (Repair), Technical Help Desk (Spare Part Management), Retrofits and Upgrades (Maintenance). Therefore a visit to Möllers Group interpack fair stand is also worthwhile for customers who wish to update their installations to state-of-the-art.
