A profitable year and some noteworthy milestones
Crailsheim. Gerhard Schubert GmbH has successfully concluded the 2013 financial year. Sales amounted to EUR 153 million, up EUR 15 million over the previous year. As in 2012, the company recorded a double-digit increase in sales. The group of companies recorded turnover of EUR 272 million for 2013.
For the future, all signs point to growth as well. The company is ideally positioned to win additional shares in existing markets and to expand their business into new markets. The enlargement of the product portfolio in the area of primary packaging opens up additional growth potential for Gerhard Schubert GmbH.
The firm’s objective is to double sales by the year 2020, and the creation of close to 300 new jobs is anticipated to achieve this.
The company has acquired a plot of land for the construction of an additional assembly plant. The area adjacent to Schubert’s current premises is now being prepared for construction, which should begin this year. Schubert will therefore be doubling its final assembly capacity. Another factory for the production and pre-assembly of TLM sub-machines is being planned for 2015.
“The company's success hinges on the outstanding performance of our employees,” says Ralf Schubert. And Gerald Schubert adds: “Our colleagues around the world are experiencing the highest possible recognition among customers for their levels of qualification. We are often envied for our team by our competitors.”
In the 1980s, Gerhard Schubert GmbH was the first company in the world to develop flexible robot technology in packaging engineering. And Gerhard Schubert is an acknowledged pioneer in this market segment worldwide. To this day, the company maintains its world market leadership through its many innovations. In fact, Schubert invests up to EUR 10 million in research and development, in order to ensure future leadership in the top-loading packaging machine market. The two brothers, Ralf and Gerald Schubert, head up the firm’s operative business, sharing responsibility for the company with their father, company founder Gerhard Schubert.
