SAVE FOOD Initiative @ interpack 2023

Dear Sir or Madam,

After a two-year break due to the pandemic, the re-start of the SAVE FOOD Initiative took place at the FAO Regional SAVE FOOD Conference in Istanbul in October 2022.  There, the initiative and its members were introduced, and a new project to develop a packaging solution made from leftover food was presented, the results for which will now be publicized for the first time at interpack 2023.

This is just one part of our new concept for the SAVE FOOD Initiative. Another important component can be experienced at interpack 2023, where we are dedicating special attention to it.

In addition to a SAVE FOOD booth at the North Entrance, the topic of SAVE FOOD will play a major role on 9 May 2023 as part of the Spotlight Forum. Also, for the first time, we will offer our visitors a SAVE FOOD Highlight Route through our exhibition halls.

For members of the SAVE FOOD Initiative who are also exhibitors at interpack, this new format offers the opportunity to present their topics and products to a broad, interested audience at their own booths. Thus, visitors can efficiently discover the most important trends and products on the topic of SAVE FOOD solutions in the packaging sector.

Benefits for you as a participant of the SAVE FOOD Highlight Route:

  • Publication on our show website www.interpack.com
  • Press release to more than 2,000 media outlets worldwide, of which more than 900 journalists will be present on site.
  • Highlight Route Flyer with information on participating members, for visitor information purposes

How to apply as an exhibitor for the SAVE FOOD Highlight Route:

Please send an email by 24 February 2023 to info@save-food.org with the subject "Participation in the SAVE FOOD Highlight Route". For your participation we need:

  • A short description of your activities in the field of SAVE FOOD
  • The name of your contact person or persons, including their contact details for communication purposes in the media and for the duration of the exhibition.

This description should be no more than 100 characters long and will be used, among other things, for publication in the above-mentioned media. Brochures or similar items will not be accepted as a description.

Even if your company is not a registered exhibitor at interpack, still please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to your participation!

Promotion of projects and studies on SAVE FOOD in the packaging sector

In order to further promote the topic of SAVE FOOD, especially in the packaging sector, the SAVE FOOD Initiative will from now on sponsor one project and one study in the field of SAVE FOOD in the packaging sector each year and present the results at interpack or, in the years between interpack, at our interpack alliance trade fairs in Cairo and Shanghai as part of their concurrent conference programs.

Members of the SAVE FOOD Initiative can submit their proposals, and a jury will then select the projects and studies to be supported.

The deadline for submitting proposals is September 1st of each year, or March 1st in the year preceding interpack. The jury will then make its selection by the end of September or by the end of March, depending on the year.

Would you like to apply with your project or study? Please send an e-mail to info@save-food.org with the subject "Promotion of projects and studies on SAVE FOOD in the packaging sector".  We will then contact you to coordinate the next steps.
