High precision powder mixer with conical floor

The real innovation of the amixon® AM-type mixer does not only lie in the conical floor, but also in the patented SinConvex®-mixing tool. The design allows ideal mixture qualities to be achieved even from a filling level of just 5 percent. The upward screwing of the mixture takes place forcibly by means of the helical spring mixing tool, while the downward flow takes place naturally due to the effect of gravity. The changing of places within the particle system takes place at the interfaces in between. The flow effect takes place in the same way, independently of the filling level.

All amixon® mixers bear superb hygiene characteristics: the machines can be used as sterile mixers in compliance with FDA regulations. They also fulfil EHEDG requirements and the 3a Sanitary Standards.

amixon® ensures comfortable accessibility and a view inside the mixing chamber by means of its generously sized inspection doors. Hence, manual dry cleaning can be carried out quickly and reliably. The inspection door is manufactured using the CleverCut® process. The o-ring seal inserted in the groove seals gastight and dust-tight very close to the product. This door seal is suitable even for automatic wet cleaning, since it seals practically without dead spaces. Joints and capillary are avoided to a large extent. As such the subsequent drying process also takes place reliably and quickly.

All parts that come into contact with product are welded joint-free and polished if desired. The polishing or surface qualities of the product-wetted parts are implemented according to the respective customer specification. amixon® documents the FDA conformity of all polymer materials and fulfils the current EHEDG specifications for both dry and wet operation.

amixon® twin-shaft mixer

The recipe of the mixture in this mixing task is very complex. The components consist of large, small, round, square, and rectangular particles, such as: dried vegetables, ground spices, natural aromas, liquid extracts, stabilizers, enzymes and many others.

The mixing process in the amixon® mixer takes place in two steps. In the first step, the powdery components are intensively moistened with liquid additives such as oil, fat, spice extract, oleoresin, and lecithin. In the same mixer step 2 follows: The fragile components are added (dill tips, onion rings, mushrooms, etc.) and are gently folded in. The end product flows easily and is free from dust. The coarse particles do not break.

The "multi-step" process takes place with minimal energy input and without a measurable increase in temperature. The same mixer performs both mixing processes: intensive deagglomeration with very high energy input and gentle homogenizing with low energy input.

amixon® apparatuses fulfil the current hygiene regulations. They are made to comply with EHEDG (European Hygienic Equipment Design Group), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and FDA (Food & Drug Administration). They are easy to clean; manually, automatically, dry or even wet. The CleverCut® doors are hygiene highlights. The mixing tools are only mounted and driven from the top. amixon® sets standards for automatic cleaning with WaterDragon®.

amixon® mixers can empty themselves to a large extent. In particular by means of the patented ComDisc® system, the residual emptying degree can be up to 99.99 %.

Vitamins, micronutrients, functional active ingredients, aromas, food colorings, binding agents, etc. are homogenized in the amixon® mixer in a micro fine process. The mixing chamber is filled with nitrogen, so that the mixing process takes place without oxygen. Hence, the goods are protected against oxidation. Even the smallest components such as vitamins, micronutrients, enzymes etc. are homogeneously distributed. The mixing process is particularly gentle. Agglomeration is also possible. This enables the creation of functional powders and solid tablets with homogeneous porosity, even coloring and excellent solubility.

In the amixon® mixer, an ideal mixing effect is achieved by a three dimensional total flow. Technically ideal mixing results are achieved very fast after 40 to 160 revolutions. The helical tool initiates an upward movement of the goods along the periphery.  The downward movement of the goods takes place in the center of the vessel. This type of rearrangement works quickly, reliably and without any dead space at different filling levels. On demand choppers can enhance the liquid incorporation and homogeneity. The patented ComDisc® system enables an effective discharge of up to 99.99%.

Producers of infant formula bear a great responsibility. Baby food must be healthy and one hundred percent pure. These high quality demands are only met if the raw material components are prepared in quality-controlled systems. In the manufacturing process for dietetic foodstuffs, precision mixers are always involved for the admixing of trace elements and vitamins. This process must be carried out with high precision where the dosage and the mixing quality are concerned.

With these requirements in view, amixon® has developed an interesting innovation: a single-shaft mixing system with comparatively small dimensions. This precision mixer is characterised by particularly short mixing and discharging times, amongst other things. It is thus capable of processing large product quantities in a short cycle time.

Ideal mixing qualities and excellent particle protection are achieved in a new way. The mixing container consists of a silo-like container in whose centre a large cone is inserted at the bottom. It has a smooth, streamlined design and supports the flow process of the mixtures. Helical mixing tools convey the goods upwards in a spiral-like motion. This process takes place along the wall of the container. Having arrived at the top, the goods slide downwards and are directed to the outside once again by the cone. The homogenisation process takes place in the marginal area between the upward screwing and the downward movement. This process is gentle and effective. After approximately 20 to 30 revolutions an ideal mixing quality is obtained that cannot be further improved in practice. The displacer then lowers itself by a few centimetres, so that the emptying takes place quickly, off-centre and segregation-free. The mixer discharges up to 100%.

amixon® container mixer

Mixed spices are homogenized – refined with liquid aromas and ready processed for the manufacture of sausages, marinades, ketchup, pizza toppings, ready-made meals, frozen and tinned food.

In the amixon® mixer, high-viscosity liquid components much as oil, fat, lecithin, spice extract and syrup are distributed in a micro fine process in salt, dextrose or grain derivatives. This takes place in a deagglomeration process with a high energy input. Dried vegetables air-dried or freeze-dried - and visible spices are finally added. The second step of homogeneous distribution takes only a few seconds. This enables an easily flowing, dust-free and homogeneous mixture. Its appearance is natural and appetizing.

With amixon® mixers you are able to obtain technically ideal mixtures, which are practically not improvable. This applies to almost all dry materials, moist and wet goods. Furthermore, the filing level of the mixer can vary from approx. 10 % to 100 %. With only one mixer you can not only homogenize very gently, but also intensively deagglomerate with an extremely high degree of energy input.  amixon® mixers can empty themselves to a large extent. In particular by means of the patented ComDisc® system, the residual emptying degree can be up to 99.99 %.

amixon® places special importance on the pilot phase in the test center. Your mixing processes are simulated here. This way, we support you in your product development phase. amixon® has a main test center in Paderborn (Germany). Further test centers are situated in Japan, Thailand, India and the USA.

All components of the amixon®-mixers are made in Germany. The production of the machines takes place exclusively in the amixon®-factory in Paderborn, Germany.
