The PRO Series Dual Sensor Compression Twin Belt (TB) sensor is specifically designed for pouch inspection. The patented technology is designed to identify and reject leaking pouch style contatiners caused by defects in the seam or fitment closure.
Proximity Technology has been used for decades to detect low vacuum in food cans. However, recent widespread use of bi-metal Easy Open (EZO) ends (steel ends with aluminum pull-tab) has presented a challenge for the traditional technology. The TapTone Twin Proximity Sensor is designed to detect and reject low vacuum and no vacuum steel cans with EZ-Open can ends (pull-tabs) at production speeds up to 525 feet per minute.
The new twin proximity sensor combines the inspections of Proximity-1 and Proximity-2 with an enhanced algorithm offering improved resolution across the lid profile. TapTone offers the twin proximity sensor on both the PRO Series and T550 Systems. (Not supported on HMI)

The T550 user interface provides complete inspection control for a variety of compatible sensors including our acoustic, proximity, force, compression, and fill level sensors. In addition both CapVu and CodeVu sensors can be run from this platform along with a host of optional digital sensors. The user interface on the new T550 is an intuitive, user friendly touch screen that is icon driven. Segment 8 rejector/laner
TapTone's Segment8 Rejector provides reliable standing rejection or product diversion at speeds up to 800 containers per minute or 48 thousand per hour. Designed for tight production spaces, this system is floor mounted and is wash down safe. The adjustable stroke length, 0–5 in (0- 12.7 cm), will accommodate rigid containers made of glass, plastic, or metal. The Segment8 rejector is also offered in our SOLO model, which has all the same features as the standard Segment8 rejector but includes a controller for operation independent of TapTone inspection equipment.
How it Works - When a reject signal is received, a solenoid is actuated, allowing air to extend the ram, which guides the faulty container off of the production line. The length of time the segment is extended is a function of the duration of the reject signal. When the signal ceases, the segment(s) are returned to their home or retracted position.
