Semi-automatic FlexFeed30 tabletop filling and capping machine
Flexicon Liquid Filling, showcases the new FlexFeed30 (FF30) tabletop liquid filling and capping machine for the pharmaceutical, biotech and diagnostic industries. The Flexicon FF30 is capable of filling and capping up to 1200 bottles per hour with bottle diameters from 12 to 50mm (up to 110mm high). Standard screw caps, pipette caps or bespoke cap designs up to 50mm diameter (40mm high) are tightened with consistent torque to prevent bottle leaks. The new FF30 offers ease-of-use and improved conformity with GMP standards.
Flexicon Liquid Filling, a division of Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group showcases on stand A24 in hall 16 the successful liquid filling and capping machine FlexFeed 30 (FF30). Compared to previous models, the upgraded FF30 offers an even easier operation. An integrated power outlet allows to directly connect peristaltic fillers such as the Flexicon PF7
Ergonomic improvements simplify operation of the new FF30. New buttons add to an increased hygiene and are more suitable for a GMP environment.
From a cleanliness and hygiene perspective, the entire fluid path on the FF30 has been designed for single-use, thus preventing cross contamination. At the same time, the machine's small foot print makes it suitable for deployment at different locations within a production facility, including within a laminar airflow (LAF) cabinet.
A complete bottle and cap changeover can be completed in less than 5 minutes. Therefore, the FF30 meets the demands of flexible small batch production.
At stand A24 in hall 16, Watson-Marlow showcases the fully automatic, easy to validate filling system FPC50W from Flexicon Liquid Filling.
The system provides integrated stoppering and capping for aluminum crimps. Moreover, the FPC50W offers automated inline check weighing. With only a small number of format parts, the system is suited for the entire vial range between 2R and 100H at up to 25 units per minute.
The FPC50W is equipped with the Flexicon peristaltic pumphead with 12 rollers that offers rapid changing of the tubing, making the system ideal for single-use filling applications. The FPC50W provides high accuracy filling from less than 0.2ml up to 100ml with no splashing, dripping or foaming.
The FPC50Ws peristaltic filling is perfect for moving fluid aseptically because the fluid stays within the closed fluid path and is only in contact with USP Class VI tubing and the filling needle.
At interpack, the FPC50W will be on display in combination with a compact-built isolator and a RDH(L) (Rapid Decon Hatch) provided by partner Franz Ziel GmbH. Thus, the work area of the fully automatic filling system is integrated in the isolator providing a grade A aseptic cleanroom environment (ISO class 5). These production conditions are achieved by a preceding automated bio-decontamination with vH2O2. Glove ports assure that all parts of the system are accessible easily.
At interpack, Flexicon Liquid Filling showcases the FS10, a flexible tabletop crimp capping machine.
The FS10 can crimp up to 1,000 bottles or vials per hour by using compressed air. Cap sizes can vary from 8-20 mm. The system crimps vials with a maximum diameter of 55mm and a maximum height of 180mm. For bigger bottles and caps, Flexicon offers the FS32.
Both FS10 and FS32 provide easy operation and minimum space requirements. Changeover for new crimps or vials can be achieved in only a few minutes.
Watson-Marlow Flexicon has specialised in aseptic peristaltic filling and capping systems for pharmaceutical, biotech and diagnostic applications since 1986.
A policy of development and constant product improvement has created a unique, high-quality product range and earned us a position at the summit of the world market.
The target market is small to medium-sized batch production that requires flexibility, high precision and efficiency. Watson-Marlow Flexicon offers a range of products from stand-alone units for hand filling, through semi-automatic systems, to fully automatic filling, stoppering and capping machines. The fully automatic systems are customised to fit most glass vials, plastic bottles, test tubes, eye-droppers, or non-self standing microtubes.
All machines are designed for use in sterile environments.
Watson-Marlow Flexicon is located in Denmark where all development and production take place and we have a large network of agents and distributors all over the world.
Flexicon joined Watson-Marlow in February 2008 to become part of the world's largest group of companies specialising in peristaltic filling and pumping technology.
