BLOCK MOULDING LINE (BML)

This high capacity, low maintenance system offers a high degree of versatility in terms of product size and throughput rates, with a choice of three, four or five layer cooling
A large volume servo piston depositor feeds pre-heated flex moulds that are weight checked before being transported into the cooling tunnel. This can be either ‘walk-through’ in design for maximum accessibility, or a narrow, space-saving design for installations where footprint is critical.

The system is highly efficient and extremely clean, and chainless conveying means minimal wear and tear for low maintenance requirements.

CHIP & CHUNK MOULDING LINE (CCM)

The Sandvik SGL Triple Pass Steel Belt Cooler offers outstanding production versatility, enabling high capacity production of chips and chunks in a wide range of sizes, from a single, high performance line.
This innovative moulding line is based on the Rotary Depositor Module, an extremely reliable unit with low maintenance requirements. The module features an exchangeable outer shell enabling production of chips in sizes from 30,000-300 pcs/kg.

The drops are deposited onto a 1500 mm steel belt conveyor and transported through the cooling tunnel. They are carried back on the underside of the return stand before being removed onto an FDA PVC conveyor. They travel back through the tunnel for a third time and are discharged for downstream processing.

This triple pass cooling concept enables throughput rates of more than 3000 kg/hour from a compact system with a low floorspace requirement – total length is approx. 35 m.

The line also incorporates a separate strip extruder and software adjustable servo cutter capable of up to 1000 cuts a minute (16 cuts per second) for chunks from 5x5x5 mm up to 10x6x15 mm.

Walk-through cooling tunnel
Our Triple Pass Steel Belt Cooler is designed on a walk-through principle. This means that the system, while contained in an outer enclosure, is fully accessible with internal lighting and easy access to all parts. This is the most accessible, ‘open’ cooling tunnel on the market.

This enclosure also serves to create a contained environment for a stable, rapid cooling process with no risk of moisture.

TRIPLE PASS ECONOMIC (TPE)

The Sandvik SGL Triple Pass Plastic Belt Cooler offers affordable, high output production of chips and chunks from a modular system with low floorspace requirements.

This innovative moulding line is based on the Rotary Depositor Module (RDM) for capacities from 1000-2000 kg/hour.

The drops are deposited on the first of two 1500 mm plastic conveyors and transported through the cooling tunnel. On reaching the end they are carried back on the underside of the return stand before being removed onto a second conveyor. They travel through the tunnel for a third time and are discharged for downstream processing.

This triple pass cooling enables high throughput rates from a system with a footprint significantly less than would otherwise be the case. Chips of different sizes can be produced by exchanging the depositor outer shell of the RDM or the plate on the GDM.

Systems based on the RDM also incorporate a separate extruder unit and servo cutter for chunk production. Systems that use the GDM do not require a separate extruder.

A key benefit of our Triple Pass Plastic Belt Cooler lies in its design. The entire unit is preassembled at our works and will fit into a standard 40 ft container for easy shipping. On arrival at site, installation by our engineering team can be completed in as little as one week.
