Sack Tip Module

Commonly known as a bag dump station, the Sack Tip Module provides a simple means for filling Matcon IBCs off-line, decoupled from the manufacturing process flow.
Designed for:

  • Fully contained transfer of material from the bag dump station to the IBC, reducing the occurrence of spilt or wasted material.
  • high standards of hygiene with dust control in mind.
  • Ease of cleaning, with easy to strip & clean bag dump station parts, which can be supplied as additional parts for rapid changeovers and cleaning off-line.
  • Increased product safety and quality with the use of the flatbed vibratory sieve and magnetic grate in the bag dump station inlet to catch 'tramp' material.

IBC Blending

Mix any recipe any time with a Matcon IBC Blender.  Mixing takes place directly within the IBC which means that recipe changeovers are essentially instantaneous as the blender itself has no product contact parts to clean.  High OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) rates are achieved as filling, emptying and cleaning take place off-line.

High shear blending with the supplementary Intensifier enables the handling of Liquid additions and blending the smallest of ingredient inclusions.

Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs)

The IBC container is at the centre of the Matcon powder handling system solution.  Designed for rapid filling and emptying, with washing off-line, the IBC container allows all the manufacturing processes to operate simultaneously for optimum production efficiency. 

The unique Cone Valve technology within each IBC differentiates Matcon from other suppliers by overcoming the traditional powder handling issues of bridging, blocking and blend segregation. The vertical lifting action of the Cone Valve breaks any bridges and promotes the flow of sticky powder compositions. In addition, it creates an annular gap at the outlet which allows material to flow in a mass-flow manner, preventing rolling of particles and segregation.

Our technology has been proven to help customers maximize batch sizes using very large IBCs, without the powder flow risks that other systems would face.

Sizes range from 150 to 3500 litre capacity, manufactured from Stainless Steel, with a simple hygienic, easy-clean design.

Packing Line Refill Module

Designed for discharging IBCs directly to high speed packing lines without the need for additional screw feeders. Because the discharge is automatically regulated, and delivers a consistent, controlled feed, the packing machines are able to operate efficiently, thereby maximising their throughput.

  • Protecting against product segregation for a quality product in the final pack.
  • Consistent, controlled feed enabling packing lines to maximise throughput without the use of screw feeders. Prevents choking or head-load variation.

  • Automatic control, the discharge process responds to signals from a level probe in the packing line feed hopper.

Powder Packer Module

The Matcon Powder Packer module compares favourably for performance with the auger filler packing systems. Change recipes faster than ever before with direct dosing from the Matcon IBC and using simple changeout parts.
