COMPOSITE CONTAINER LINES

Composite containers sometimes are also called fibre cans or paper cans, and they were introduced on the market long before World War II already. At that time, they were considered as a cheap substitute packaging to replace the expensive tinplate or glass packaging.
Today, composite containers have become a packaging material of its own no longer resembling the cheap improvised packaging of that time. The designation of composite containers stems from the design of the can. They are made of various raw materials mostly on paper basis.

SQUARE DRUM LINES

In the year 2010 Guschky developed the new fully automatic production automat called QRMA for square containers in three cross sections 260 mm, 370 mm and 550 mm. Basic tube for the containers can be wound convolute by our project partner Messrs’ Brodbeck, Metzingen or on our newest development the Universal Winding Line USW.

The Guschky Universal Winding Line USW is providing tubes of cross section 260 mm and 370 mm as a spiral tube. This means we can offer your optimal solution for every application on this field.

SLITTER REWINDERS

The narrow paper webs which are necessary for tube winding, are cut on the slitter - rewinder. Sometimes it is not an advantage to purchase these rolls from outside sources since the web widths are often changing due to tube diameter, wall thickness, etc.

An additional advantage of an own slitter - rewinder is that it is possible to buy low-prices remnants (trim rolls), which are, however, still wide enough to cut paper strips out of them for winding.

Guschky & Tönnesmann supply two different slitter - rewinders:
The popular-priced model ABA for manufacturing simple standard rolls and the faster model ABB with automatic web tension control and all features necessary to slit the rolls for tube winding at peak performance.
