Packall is a mixed company of Argentine and American capitals, is part of the Anchor packaging Group. Since 1960 Anchor is pioneer in the manufacture of takeout containers and PVC film for the protection of food. We manufacture and commercialize food-service flexible packaging solutions. Our main products are PVC film and aluminum foil, wax paper and absorbent for trays.
Through our brands Resinite, Purity wRAP, Rolopac, Rolofreeze, Roluminio y Rolopaper we are present in most Argentine and Latin America houses.
Packall started its activities in Argentina in 1987 in the District of Pocito in San Juan and manufactures PVC film, our main product. In the beginning the enterprise had 30 employees and was producing 300 tons per month. Most of the production was for the domestic market. Now there are 130 employs from San Juan and produces over 8000 tons per year. Every hour across the world someone is using our film to protect their food.Our products have been approved by health agencies world's most demanding. Also Packall has a strong commitment to the environment reflected in the use of the highest quality standards, production processes control.
The development and continuous growth in Packall was supported by customer satisfaction and excellence of our employees job. The participation of our company in foreign markets is based on three pillars, quality, service and prices.
Our talent to suit the needs of demand allows us to differentiate ourselves and compete on equal terms with the main referents in the international market. Today 60% of the volume produced by Packall is destined for export. We are present in America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Getting our products to destinations like United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Singapore and Turkey among the most distant.
The remaining 40% of our production volume covers the requirements of local market where we are absolute leaders. Packall is the only PVC food-service film producer in the country. In a joint effort of San Juan and American engineers Anchor Latin America is developing new lines of manufacturing will allow us to have film thickness of 7 microns making it possible to maintain the current market and enter new markets demanding this product.
To achieve this project we will invest in our plant in San Juan 5 million in the period 2010 to 2014.
This decision was published recently with the presence of Jose Luis Gioja, San Juan Governor, other provincial authorities and the main directors of Packall and U.S. Anchor Packaging.
This project is the natural and necessary growth path to Packall in an extremely competitive market segment that develops in many markets around the world.
