THE TFT ROTOBATTER

The TFT-RotoBatter is a batch mixer or pre mixer designed to mix dry an liquid ingredients to a homogeneous mass or batter. Executed with two (top driven) agitators both mixing and scraping guarantees not only a prefect mix, but also an optimal emptying and possible heat transfer from the (optional) jacket. The bottom mounted transfer pump empties the mixer (also upstream or over longer distance). Off course CIP, ingredient feeding and controls are part of the concept.

BATCH COOKER

For many types of products the production process starts with a cooking step. Whether you want to make marshmallow, pectin jelly, caramel, nougat, angel kiss or other products there are several types of cookers that can be of use. For high capacity continuous processes there are two main types of cookers developed by TFT. It depends on the product to be made but for pectin jelly and caramel or toffee the batch type cooker is the best choice. This cooker is heated by steam and cooking is performed using mechanical agitation under pressure to cook at lower temperatures and still be able to evaporate the required amount of moisture and thus achieve the correct level of solids (°Bx). When the correct temperature is reached a vacuum is applied on the cooker to immediately reduce the temperature to approximately 80°C for further processing.

TWISTED MARSHMALLOW CABLE

One of the most popular type of marshmallow remains the twisted cable. This marshmallow is built up out of four ropes with each an individual colour. TFT has designed a manifold wherein the four colours are directed towards the turning outlet of the extrusion nozzle. The manifold is designed with the focus on an even pressure distribution throughout the 30 nozzles in the manifold. The manifold has two drives on board that can vary in RPM to change the final shape of the candy. Additionally spare nozzle sets can be designed to make limitless varieties in shapes and colours.
