MK2 Plain

Our "MK2" manifold for "plain depositing" essentially has one product chamber, where an equalisation of system pressure is established. A series of flow control valves, one for each individual depositing nozzle, fine tunes the pressure balance across the manifold. Cleaning attachments mean that manifolds can be part of a CIP regime which might exist for cleaning primary equipment for feeding the manifold, a continuous aeration system of a pumping unit when un-aerated masses are being deposited.

Volumetric Depositing Manifolds

Our volumetric manifolds provide “swept volume” depositing accuracy whilst maintaining Wymbs’ “hopperless” principles for maintaining complete control of the mass being deposited.

Non-metallic pistons with integrated seals, servo driven, are combined with stainless steel cylinders with a honed inside surface to provide the highest level of depositing accuracy and can be fitted to our ORBIS overhead, ORBIS under band, OCD & CDS manifold drive system as well as being tailored to for retro-fitting onto OEM partner machines.

Manifold Drive and Movement Systems

It takes a special kind of depositing system to deposit aerated chocolate. With no available foamable protein to protect the cell structure, controlling the the crystallisation of the fat mass is sacrosanct which means careful attention to temperature and pressure.

Combining Wymbs’ volumetric “hopperless” manifolds with our OCD and CDS manifold drive systems the end user is provided with a powerful range of options for depositing light and “bubbly” chocolate masses for production of aerated chocolate bars and tablets as well as facilitating the means to fill moulded hollow wafers with delicately aerated wafer creams and pralines.

Wymbs Engineering Limited is a family business founded some thirty years ago by Managing Director, Brendan Wymbs. The company is located in Stockport in the North West of England, only a 35 minute drive from Manchester airport.

From a small fabrication workshop, servicing and upgrading “worn out” machinery in the bakery and confectionery industries, Wymbs Engineering has grown to occupy a leading role today as manufacturers of a unique range of pressurised manifold depositing systems for light, aerated and delicate masses, as well as bespoke processing lines for the chilled foods sector such as cream doughnut and chocolate éclair lines, injection systems for choux buns and cream slice lines.

Using the most modern of Solid Works AutoCAD software in the design office and employing several multi-axis CNC machines for production, the ability to design and manufacture “in-house” is the key to continued development of “our manifolds and depositing machines”.

With a healthy market established at home, Wymbs exports 70% of its turnover to as far afield as China, Brazil, Australia, USA, Japan, South Africa, Mexico and throughout Western and Central Europe. All of these markets are supported with a dedicated and diligent agent network that can provide immediate response to enquiries in “local time zones”.
