PG 6000: COCOA NIBS PRE-GRINDER

The beater blade mill, type PG 6000, is specially developed for the continuous pre-grinding of high fat content seeds and nuts e. g. cocoa nibs and/or hazelnuts.

This beater blade mill, a high speed design, has a unique configuration between beater blades, milling chamber and slotted sieve giving optimum continuous pre-grinding.

The combination of high speed and impact between the beater blades and seeds/nuts breaks the product. The fat released from the fibres of the product liquefies the product, and the resultant mass leaves the milling chamber through the slotted sieve with the required particle size into the receptacle of the unit.

The end fineness of the finished product is determined by the gap size of the sieve through which the mass flows through by gravity to outlet of the mill. The liquor can be discharged from the unit by means of a discharge pump.

The maximum capacity of the mill is 6.000 kg/h, depending upon the type and pre-treatment of the seeds and nuts, as well as the required end product fineness. During the grinding process the moisture content of the product will be reduced.

CAO 1000: BALL MILL REFINER

The attrition ball mill type CAO 1000 is especially designed for the continuous fine grinding of cocoa liquor, chocolate and compound coatings.

This ball mill, a low speed agitated type and direct drive, developed for heat and wear sensitive masses has a unique configuration between grinding shaft, grinding tank and grinding media, resulting in an optimum use of the grinding efficiency.

These features result in:

  • No foundations, limited floor space
  • Low energy consumption
  • Low maintenance costs
  • Constant product quality
  • Minimal manpower required
  • End-fineness can be up to 18 microns for chocolate / compound coatings
  • End-fineness can be up to 99,9% through 75 microns sieve for cocoa liquor
The capacity for the grinding of cocoa liquor is up to 1.200 kg/hr

The capacity for the fine grinding of chocolate and compound coatings is up to 500 kg/hr when powdered sugar is used as an ingredient

CAO B5: LABORATORY BALL MILL REFINER

The installation type CAO B5 is especially designed for the mixing and fine grinding of chocolate, coatings, compounds and bread spreads. This ball mill refiner has been specially designed for laboratory use and for the production of small batches.

This ball mill, a low speed agitated type, developed for heat sensitive masses has a unique configuration between grinding shaft, grinding tank and grinding media, resulting in an optimum use of the grinding efficiency.

These features result in:

  • No foundations, limited floor space
  • Low energy consumption
  • Low maintenance costs
  • Constant product quality
  • Good particle size distribution
  • End-fineness can be up to 18 microns
The batch capacity of this installation is 5 kg and the grinding time is about 30 minutes in case crystal sugar is used as an ingredient.
