COSMETICS & PERSONAL CARE

Giflor specialises in the moulding of plastic caps for the packaging of cosmetics, beauty and personal care products, one of the ideal segments of our closure systems.

Specifically, Giflor caps are the perfect solution for consumer products sold through large retailers or to professional end-users; these products include sunscreens, moisturisers, shampoos and conditioners.
The cosmetic industry increasingly requires packaging with a strong aesthetic impact, capable of providing personality and improving the sales performance of the final product, as well as ensuring maximum functionality.
Our closures respond perfectly to both needs: on the one hand, they attract the customer’s attention thanks to a captivating design, developed with care to even the smallest details; on the other, they assure ease of use by virtue of their ergonomic opening.

Our airtight caps for shampoos, conditioners and moisturising creams are available in the single- and two-colour versions, with over 350 standard colours to choose from. To mould our plastic caps for packaging cosmetics we use the polypropylene copolymer, a material that offers excellent resistance to humidity and cold, as well as good chemical resistance to acids, alkalis and solvents.

FOOD

Our plastic dispensing caps for food are available in a vast and diversified range, with a patented design conceived to ensure great shelf-impact and, at the same time, guarantee excellent product integrity.
These are essential features in a competitive yet highly specialised and regulated market such as that of food.
Today more than ever, the packaging – and therefore the cap, which is an essential part of it – is considered a fundamental marketing lever in the food sector.
This is why Giflor pays special attention to both the functionality and aesthetics of its products.
Available in the Screw-On and Snap-On versions, with bore seal and Crab Claw (a system that allows the optional application of a protective foil gasket), Flip-Top or disc-top/push-lock opening, Giflor’s injection-moulded plastic closures for the food sector are the ideal solution in terms of compatibility with products such as sauces and condiments, being made from raw materials that are tested and certified by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and European certification authorities..

The different types of foil seal available – including those made on request, especially for e-commerce – ensure optimal cap tightness, preventing the contents of the tube or bottle from leaking out and coming in contact with air. This ensures the product’s freshness while also extending its shelf life. These foil seals also provide consumers with a guarantee that the packaging is intact and that its contents have not been tampered with in any way.

Another fundamental aspect for the companies who choose us are our delivery times: Giflor can supply its injection-moulded plastic closures for the food sector, in the single- and two-colour versions, in four weeks from order.

HEALTH CARE

It is well-known that in health care, more than in other markets, the packaging is considered a key element in making the consumer’s experience when using the product as pleasant as possible.
The packaging of these products, typically found on pharmacy shelves, needs to capture attention and stand out, yet also reassure buyers, in particular by conveying the idea of simplicity, effectiveness and ease of use.
Therefore, our production of plastic caps for the parapharmaceutical/OTC and cosmetics sectors includes a wide range of closure solutions (Flip-Top or push-lock with dispenser, cylindrical, mushroom-shaped, conical, round, oval, square, double-liner), many of which can come with different types of seals to ensure perfect tightness. The foil liners prevent the product getting in contact with air, thus maintaining its freshness and extending its shelf life. The different types of closures are designed to be used with extreme simplicity and can meet the different needs of the industry. The additional “click sound” of the closure system indicates that the cap is tightly closed.

The foil seal allows us to guarantee not only that the packaging is intact, but also that the contents have not been tampered with in any way: this is fundamental for particularly “delicate” products such as Health Care items.

The many benefits of our plastic cap manufacturing process include a reduced environmental impact, obtained by minimising energy consumption.
