IKEA continues to inspire its customers to be environmentally friendly. Another environmentally friendly solution developed by the Swedish brand is the Kungsbacka kitchen system. Furniture fronts were created with the use of plastic bottles, other elements were made of regenerated industrial wood. The design is kept in a timeless, minimalist style. The quality of the product is confirmed by the fact that the furnitures useful life is about 25 years!
Another project of the eco organisation Parley for the Oceans and Corona Beer – a line of luxurious sunglasses made from recycled plastic extracted from the oceans. The glasses are manufactured in Italy on the basis of plastics and waste collected on beaches. The proceeds of the sale are used to protect the coasts of islands which are particularly vulnerable to plastic pollution.
A joint initiative of Parley for the Oceans and Adidas has shown that recycling can be fashionable. As a result of this collaboration, Adidas created a collection of sports shoes using recycled ocean waste collected in the Maldives. This is how a refreshed version of the EQT Support ADV model came to being.
