Logistics and handling of pre-filled syringes
Pre-filled syringes are regarded as one of the most effective methods of administering medications to patients. The rapidly increasing demand for pre-filled syringes places enormous challenges on the pharmaceutical industry. The corresponding technology developments keep pace with the growth of the global market for injectable medications.
STERISYS therefore developed an innovative solution to optimize the handling, transfer and transportation of pre-fillable syringes in nest and tub forms. These automated handling systems can easily be integrated into existing production processes and guarantee reliable, safe and rapid feed processes. The benefit of the STERISYS handling solutions is that the products remain protected during the entire production process and the operator does not have to manually handle nests or tubs which significantly simplifies the logistic processes.
Operators of our custom solutions benefit from the fact that they are customizable to any requirements, as independent units or as part of an existing production line. STERISYS is able to offer a customized and fully automated system for sorting and feeding syringes - mixed in blisters or in any other formats – to optimize logistics processes for safe handling of pre-filled syringes in tubs, nests and protective covers.
All of our packaging systems conform to the newest cGMP and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements. The systems are supplied with complete documentation, including detailed machine manuals, certifications and IQ/OQ or FAT/SAT packages.
Our automated system is designed according to the 2006/42/EC, ISO 10218-2 and 12100:2010 machine guidelines.
