Smart pallets

It’s a well established fact that Euro pallets can do more than facilitate transport and storage. Not only are they environment-friendly, but they can now even be found in quite a few living rooms and bedrooms in the form of smart DIY furniture. The latest innovative product from the Danish company PAL-Cut, however, has gone back to the core functions of pallets.

The new product is called Antim – pallet liners that can be cut to longer sizes than normal. This makes it possible to print advertising slogans, corporate logos and product adverts on the sheets, saving customers time and creating major marketing opportunities for companies.
As the new idea has been integrated into the automated operations, it even saves stages in the process. When the goods reach the supermarket, for instance, all that needs doing is removing a film, and the message on the Antim liners becomes clearly visible. The process partly involves using a PAL-Cut sheet dispenser, which quickly and accurately pushes the liners forward onto the pallets. The pallet liners are also available with anti-slip coating.

The product was originally developed for Nestlé and has been tested for water on pallets. A number of other companies have now expressed their interest and will soon be able to use this innovative advertising space. Rudi Petersen, CEO of PAL-Cut says: “Antim65 Point of Sale is an inexpensive and efficient form of marketing for branded products in stores. It saves time and gives products greater visibility, as more and more businesses are becoming reluctant to provide much space for the sales displays and posters of their suppliers.”
